Kendra Anastasia Mason realized that the only person she would normally tell about her rapidly unraveling life had to many of his own problems right now for her to even think about sharing them with him. All the secrets she had kept close she found someone knew, all except one. Luke now knew about her cutting, Shane knew about her eating disorders, and God she had even told Caleb about the motocross thing, but the fact that she loved Shane X Moore, with everything she had, she sighed with relief knowing that that little fact she still kept for herself. Her cutting was getting worse and she knew, probably aided by the fact that her mother was getting remarried, this one would make him husband number five. As she sipped on her cup of coffee she tried to think of how she had let it get this far, when exactly had she been so okay with giving away her secrets?
Kendra let her thoughts drift back to Shane, she didn't know what to think anymore. She knew it would be a long time before she could ever tell him how she felt, he needed to heal and come to terms with the fact that Dayton Moore's suicide wasn't his fault, and then who knew what would happen, would he go back to Maddie. She groaned thinking about Maddie, Shane's ex-girlfriend. She hated the girl so much, for no more than the simple fact that she had dated Shane. If Kendra were honest with herself, and today seemed to be one of the rare times she was, she would admit that if she and Shane hadn't dated, she probably would have been best friends with Maddie, but all of those chances went down the drain the second the girl said yes to Shane. She took a deep sip of her coffee and looked down at her outfit, she honestly couldn't remember the last time she had worn something so casual. Jeans with black off the shoulder sweater and mid level purple suede pumps, it was defiantly a fare cry from her normal state of dress.

It was fairly early in the day, and Maddie needed something to get herself going. It was a Saturday, and she could still feel a slight handover from the night before. As far as Maddie was concerned, nothing cured it better than a nice cup of Starbucks coffee. The the thought of it warmed her through, and her mouth began to water. Every time that she'd make the choice to go pick some up, she would get this feeling. This, excited feeling, that she was about to be drinking something that good. Pulling herself out of her bed, she really wasn't in the mood to be up so early. Even though the clock beside her read 10:14 a.m. Though, you'd be lying to yourself if you'd ever think of Maddie as an early riser. Early for Maddie was like, 8 a.m, so this was a pretty reasonable time for her to be getting up on a hangover day. Pulling herself to wards the bathroom, she was quick to shower and throw on some jeans, a shirt and some heeled boots.
With how short Maddie was, she normally liked to wear heels. Plus they seemed to add a sort of sexiness to all of her outfits. Quickly putting her makeup on, and straightening her hair, she made her way out of the house. Running down the stairwell, she grabbed a biscuit the maid Norma, had left on a platter for her breakfast. Nibbling on it as she made her way to her convertible, silver, BMW. Pulling herself into the drivers seat, she started the ignition, and turned up her radio. Leaning back in her seat as she pulled out of her families driveway. Quickly driving down to wards the Starbucks, she couldn't help but feel excited. Passing a couple dozen cars on her way to the little cafe on the other side of town. Pulling into the parking lot, she parked at the last parking spot nearest the entrance, and put her car in park before going in.
Going to the counter, she quickly made her order for a vanilla bean mocha. After placing her order, her gaze drifted through the cafe. Light blue gaze landing on Kendra. Leaving her gaze there for a moment, she looked away. For some reason that Maddie was only finally putting together, she had never liked Maddie. Though finally she'd put two and two together to figure out what was going through her head. It didn't make sense to Maddie. She'd never been rude to her, Kendra just never seemed to like her. It was...weird. Getting her order, she figured it was time she tried to talk to her. See what was going on and everything. "Kendra-- hey. How are you?" She said hesitating before taking a seat across from her.

When Kendra hears the annoyingly chipper voice of Maddie Cooper she wants to throw her coffee at someone and laugh while they run around yelling about scalding coffee and their face, when Maddie sits down across from her, completely uninvited and ignorant of the Queen of Mean's want to be alone with her thoughts, she contemplates throwing the coffee at Maddie, or stabbing her with her pen or doing something just as gruesome, like she told Shane she was a worse monster than he was. Of course after having one of the worst days yesterday Maddie would "grace" Kendra with her presence. "I don't know Maddie, how would you be if you watched your whole life unravel and then had one of the people you can't stand just invite herself to sit with you." she bit out scathingly taking a sip of her coffee and thinking over throwing it at her. She sighed as she watched Maddie's face, and let go of the mask completely, maybe she just needed to let it go, maybe if Shane was right Maddie could be trusted.
"i'm sorry that was uncalled for. It's just been a really long 48 hours that have made little to no sense and i'm pretty sure it's never going to." she tells Maddie sadly looking out at the New York street watching the traffic pass by, some days she would give anything not to be Kendra Mason. Some days she wish's she could just take some of her money and escape into a different city, Boston, LA, Madrid, anywhere. Anywhere where she wasn't Kendra Mason, where she didn't have to be anything, where she didn't have to have manners or grace or the latest and greatest fashions or marry well or do anything important. She could just be Kendra, quietly live and die and have it not make the front page, maybe she could go live in the south, drink sweet tea and eat fried chicken and raise horses.
"you ever wish you weren't you Maddie? Cuz that how i feel right now. I wish me and Shane and Caleb and Luke and Olivia and Renee could just not be us somewhere." she told the blonde girl, still not looking at her
(this sucks soooo bad and i'm sorry!!)
