» HISTORY: Jocelyn was born in Vail, Colorado to Anna and Michael Grace and had a brother named Robert. They were an average, middle class family. Michael owned a little drug store for about 15 years, but decided to sell it a few years later. The family of four moved to Memphis; a large, warm city in contrast to Vail. Around that time Jocelyn was 5 and a very energetic child. Her mom wanted to put her daughter in a sport to relase some of her energy. She tried a few ball sports but Joce didn't like any; she couldn't throw, kick or aim. So her mom tried dance, and surprisingly her daughter enjoyed it. Jocelyn liked the music and moves. She took dance their whole stay in Memphis, & it was the beginning of her dance career. The family continued to live in Memphis for another 5 years, before her dad got relocated to New York. Jocelyn was sad to leave her friends and dance behind but her mother promised her more of both.
New York was also different from Memphis and Vail, though Jocelyn didn't remember anything about Vail. The city was loud and busy and at first he hated it. Everything was so close together she felt clostraphobic. A year later her mother found a high end dance studio for Jocelyn to go to. She eagerly accepted and became a better dancer. She learned jazz and hip hop, spending every other day dancing for 3 hours. Her life was perfect, she had friends at school, caring family, and a great sport. Until winter when she was 12, a few weeks after her birthday. Running after friends down iced over steps she slipped and broke her ankle. Jce cried for days on end because she would be out for a year. Besides healing she needed physical therapy for her ankle.
In the year she was out she wasn't a very happy girl. Joce truly missed dancing, and dreamed of the day she could go back. She joined choir that year at school and learned she had a wonderful voice. Singing help ease the pain and she did lots of musicals at her school. Jocelyn even entered a few contests for singing and/or talent shows, winning a few of them. She continued to strengthen her ankle so she could once again dance, it was her true passion. She also realized that she had a few more options open once she would be able to dance-she could dance and sing. That made the waiting even more unbearable.
After she was allowed to dance again, Jocelyn started off slowly and worked hard to get back to the top. She began entering competitions a year later and did a few recitals. She was finally happy again, to be dancing once more. The next year when she was leaving for high school she got even more serious. Her mom had given her a talk about if she really wanted to dance in college or for a career she'd need a scholarship to guarantee it. No longer was she dancing just for fun, she also wanted and needed a scholarship for it. Jocelyn continued in musicals now doing dancing and singing parts; which she loved. She began making friends at dance and in choir too, which distracted her.
When she entered high school she immeadiatly made friends like she always did and began spending her free time with them. Joce's mom told her to focus on dance, she was getting too serious. Jocelyn wanted a life away from dance, her mom didn't like that idea and had a really big fight. Jocelyn agreed to continuing dancing but they had rules in place now-an agreement. Jocelyn would continue to dance and try for a scholarship but got the weekends off and her mom agreed to lay back. That was also around the time Joce started to like her best friends boy. Joce and him hung out a lot, had 3 classes together, and just fit perfectly together. They'd both admitted their feelings but would feel guilty about Lena if they got together. They secretly hang out and call each other a lot, and are both worried about Lena finding out.

» RP SAMPLE:Caroline smiled back at him, hopefully ditching some of her gloom. She was always such a happy-go-lucky kind of person that Cas knew something major had to be going on to dim her bright smile. He knew Caroline knew that he would always be there for her and support her. At least it made her feel a little bit better. Caspian wanted to mentally smack himself for the slip of the tongue. He was grateful for Cari's attitude about it. He could have played it safe and said he was just remembering some good old times. But playing it safe never got anyone anywhere. He quietly added in that he thought about their future. He couldn't figure out how it went, though he hoped that he had finally told her how he felt. If he ever did he envisioned them together; practically the same inseparable team but stronger. Caroline's gaze lowered from his. She had an unreadable expression that drove him nuts, he couldn't tell what she was thinking. Did he say something wrong? Bad somehow? Weird? It killed Caspian to have kept his feelings bottled up for years. For some reason he felt he couldn't hide them away for much longer. He sighed softly and fixed his gaze to the road. "Anyway…" he tried to form some kind of sentence but his brilliance was dulled by his over-active mind.
The noise in the café turned into a faraway droning noise. All he could see and hear was Cari. Caspian was stunned when her gaze went soft and she seated herself by him, taking his hand in her own. He didn't know what to expect. She looked serious and definintly like there was something on her mind. Probably a yay or nay of some sort. It would either be 'Yes I love you' or 'Sorry I just don't.' Too much worded and unworded things had been passed between them. As he let loose some more of his feelings Caroline nodded silently because she also knew that for one of them to leave would kill them both. It took her a few painfully long moments to react, probably processing the facts. He had pretty much just told his best friend he loved her. But Caspian's worry washed away as she smiled at him. At least that was a good sign. He wasn't sure what she would say or do. They had never done anything like this at all, and in some ways in scared the hell out of Cas. Before he could even begin to form some stutter of a sentence she leaned over and kissed him softly. Cas was stunned but quickly smiled and kissed her back. Now this was definintly new, and he liked it.
Caspian was overwhelmed she felt the same way. He had been worried he'd just make it akward and ruin their relationship, but nope. Cas imagined he was most likely the happiest guy in the world right now. Caroline gave another bright smile before standing up and pulling Caspian up with her. He kept his gaze to hers, trusting her wherever she may drag him to. "If this is your way of telling me you love me then I want you to know I love you to." He returned her smile and nodded, not trusting himself to speak. Something about love would come out and probably ruin the new conversation. Cas followed her to the outside; hand and hand and gave the host a quick nod before stepping into the fresh air. Caroline leaned against the truck, a smile on her face. And he knew that he wasn't the only one crazy in love. Cas stepped in closer stealing a more passionate kiss from Cari and wrapping his arms around her like he never wanted to let go; which he didnt. Cas knew they both had millions of questions running through their minds. "Well this is new, and yes it is unreal. I was beyond afraid I'd just ruin everything." he said smiling softly at her. He knew they had to talk, and it was good to have everything out in the open.
