~ ♛ ~ IN YOUR HEAD, IN YOUR HEADT H E Y A R E F I G H T I N G~ ❀ ~ ❀ ~ ❀ ~ ❀ ~ ❀ ~ ❀ ~ ❀ ~ ❀ ~ ❀ ~ ❀ ~ Shane was a happy boy. He had nothing special going on today, not even school. His mother was out all day, on a shopping trip with her friends. She was hurting over Dayton, Shane's dad, right along with Shane. Shane figured he hurt more because he knew it wasn't an accident. He knew the truth of what had happened to his father, but nobody else knew that and he had no intentions of telling anybody else. He didn't feel the need to go around telling people, not even his mother. His mother did not need that kind of weight on her shoulders. She was already dating another guy and Shane hated the guy but he was glad that his mother was happy. He was also glad that he wouldn't have to live with her long. Hell, he very much doubted that the Cohens would much care if Shane decided to make himself at home there. Lane's dad got along just fine with Shane and Mr. Moore didn't mind Lane's mom. So, he doubted that the Cohens would care at all if he just showed up.... It was just a matter of whether his mother would care. She wanted Shane to get over the fact that his dad was dead but Shane just couldn't get over it, especially so quickly. He was hurt that his mother was already dating some douchebag to make herself feel better.
Shane Xzavier Moore was now sitting in his living room playing Call of Duty, shooting everything in sight, even his own guys. His mother was always disturbed with this game but Shane obviously didn't care. He pretended each guy was his mom's new boy and that made the game much more fun. He was shooting the guy in the face, the gut, everything. He even did double tap like on Zombieland. His "commander" yelled at him so he pointed the gun at the commander and tried to shoot him. The game didn't let him shoot his own commander and that made Shane mad but he just muttered a couple of curse words and continued shooting because he didn't want to hear his "commander's" words in the least. He was trying to shoot so many bullets so that the words would be lost in the array of noises but it was inevitable. The commander could still be heard. Shane quickly decided that his commander had a strong pair of lungs on him because he'd never heard a commander actually yell that loud in real life or even on TV. Shane hoped if he ever decided to join the Military that his commander wasn't that loud.
While he was in the middle of a hardcore battle, he pulled out his cell-phone and texted Kathrine, a girl he'd slept with a couple of times now. She was a whole lot of fun and he figured he needed some company before he threw something at his TV because his call of duty commander was annoying. "Hey you, you should come over and give me some company. I'm extremely bored. ;)" He slid his blackberry back into his pocket and continued to play Call of Duty.

Kathrine rolled over in her bed and let out a loud groan. Rays of sun hit her in the eyes and she sighed before sitting up. It had been a long night but Katie got money the best way she could, by selling herself to a local strip joint. Her body was perfect for that line of work, and she didn't ever sleep with any of the guys. She strongly believed that sometimes people needed to get away, and when they did she would be there to get them through anything. She stripped for men and women, it didn't really matter for her. She raked in a pretty good amount of money every night. Of course she was the best stripper the joint had. She used what she had, and she used it well. Her dad had no idea what she was doing and she didn't expect him to ever find out. He was hardly home enough to realize what was going on. So until she had to stop, she would keep stripping.
Looking at her clock she realized that she had slept until lunch. 12:37 is what her clock read so she decided that it was time to get up. She didn't have anything planned for the day so she felt like she would be able to take it slow. Katie always rushed everything so it felt good to be able to relax and get ready. She showered and made herself presentable before getting dressed. Her stomach growled and she couldn't help but laugh. Kat walked into the large kitchen and made her self a sandwich. She wasn't a very picky eater so she ate just about anything and everything. Once she was finished and had cleaned up she decided that she could shop around a bit before something came up. She grabbed her keys and headed out the door. Shopping was something that Katie loved to do. It helped her relax if she was having a bad day. She went to her favorite store with her dad's credit card in her wallet. Kat was so ready to buy herself some new clothes.
Katie was trying on a dress when she heard her phone start singing. "She wraps those hands around that pole..." she couldn't help but laugh at the ringtone. She opened her purse and grabbed her iPhone to see who the text was from. Kathrine couldn't help but smile at the text that was on her screen. It was from Shane, a guy that she had been sleeping with for a while now. He was a blast to hang out with so she enjoyed being around him. "Hey you, you should come over and give me some company. I'm extremely bored. " was what the message read. She laughed again and replied. "Hey you! Yeah...I'm bored too, so i'll be over soon (;" she hit send and let her phone fall back into her purse. She finished trying on and buying the dress and headed over to Shane's place. She pulled up and got out. Katie grabbed her purse and went to knock on the door.

~ ♛ ~ IN YOUR HEAD, IN YOUR HEADT H E Y A R E F I G H T I N G~ ❀ ~ ❀ ~ ❀ ~ ❀ ~ ❀ ~ ❀ ~ ❀ ~ ❀ ~ ❀ ~ ❀ ~ Shane Xzavier Moore was one screwed up kid. It may have not seemed like it, because he kept up a reputation, but he was. He was mad all the time, had a temper that was like a wild fire, once started, it was hard to get rid of. Mostly he lost his temper with himself and inanimate objects but there were times he lost it with people. He tried not to let that happen often but he rarely kept his temper under control with his mother, who was already dating three months after Dayton's death. It drove Shane up the wall and it made him mad that his mother got over his father so easily. Dayton and his mother had been quite a pair and even Shane could see that they truly loved each other.... Or so it seemed. Obviously his mother didn't care too much about Dayton, because she already had a new boyfriend named Harvey. Shane hated Harvey; Harvey was intruding on his life and the guy acted like he wasn't. Harvey acted like Shane was just a cute little kid that could be calmed with a lollipop. Harvey had actually given Shane a candy cane trying to get Shane to stop shoving him out of the house. That hadn't worked well; the seventeen-year-old had just punched his mom's boyfriend in the face and told him to get the HELL out. Harvey had left so it was all win for Shane.
He was concentrating heavily on his Call of Duty game because he wanted to kick ass at this level. This was the one thing he was good at, video games. Then again, Shane was good at football, basketball, and landing girls too. He was also good at smart mouthing his mother's boyfriend, Harvey. He smashed a couple of buttons on his xbox controller and watched a whole group of "people" on his video game blow up. His commander had finally shut up because Shane was no longer shooting his own guys. He was now shooting the people he was supposed to be but he was also crawling in the "grass" and hiding from the soldiers whilst shooting them. His own guys couldn't find him but he didn't care. He was too busy sneaking up on the commander that wasn't his own so he could shoot him and win this "battle". Shane was unstoppable and snuck up inch by inch and just when he pointed his gun, there was a knock on the door that made him jump and move his character suddenly which made him get shot, so he lost. He cursed but he knew who was knocking at his door unless he got surprised by the mailman or somethin'. He got up and shut his X-box off then wandered to the door.
Shane opened it, grinning and found who he knew he was looking for. Kathrine Collins, one of his favorite people in the whole world and probably would stay one of his favorite people in the whole world. He moved to let her in and asked, "So how are you Kat?"
He winked, grinned, and then shut the door behind her. "You made me lose my game, Call of Duty, you know." He half smiled, teasing her. Yes, she had actually made him lose but he didn't actually care. It was just a game and it wasn't like he couldn't get to that point again. Kathrine had some issues going on in her life. She didn't always let people see what was happening, but he life got really hard on her sometimes. She hated feeling like a little high school girl in the means of her having a "crush" on Davis and having to try so hard to get his attention. Actuality set in sometimes and she realized that she didn't have to try at all, because even when he was at the strip joint his eyes were only on her. Still she felt dumb for having those girly feelings that women like her, just didn't need. She was meant to be a whore and sleep around, but when she thought about Davis it got hard. She didn't want to lose him or his respect, but she knew she didn't deserve it. Not yet anyhow. She was just a whore and of course he deserved better, but he knew what she did and he still talked to her. She guessed that it was what kept her drawn to him. Still she loved what she had going with Shane, and she didn't know if she would be able to give it up.
Nothing had been the same after Katie's mother had skipped out on her. Not too many people knew that her mother had left them. Her father had told people that she had gone missing while they were sailing. Everyone believed that her mother was dead, and to Katie she was. She hadn't told anyone the truth about her mom other than Brooke, Jenna, and Shane. They were the people that she trusted the most, and she knew that they would be there if she ever felt down. She and Shane both knew what it was like to lose a parent. Though Shane's father was actually dead they were still hurting the same pain. He never really liked to talk about it though. Kat had figured out that Shane wasn't good with sharing his emotions, but she didn't mind. She still cared about him, and she would be there if he ever wanted to talk.
Kat smiled when the door finally opened. Shane was the cutest thing, and while it wasn't very legal for her to be sleeping with him, neither of them minded too much. They liked what they had and it was all that mattered. No strings attached was their motto. Of course they loved each other as friends, but not in a romantic way. Sex was just what they both loved. Kat walked in and smiled. "Well Sir Shane, I'm much better now that I'm with my lover." she said with a playful wink. She laughed when she heard him talk about his game. "I guess I'll just have to make it up to you then." she said leaning up to peck his lips.

~ ♛ ~ IN YOUR HEAD, IN YOUR HEADT H E Y A R E F I G H T I N G~ ❀ ~ ❀ ~ ❀ ~ ❀ ~ ❀ ~ ❀ ~ ❀ ~ ❀ ~ ❀ ~ ❀ ~ Shane's reputation was very important to him but he had other things that were important too. For one, Shane felt like he needed to rebel against his father who'd killed himself in a car accident and had left Shane far behind, broken and hopeless. Shane was losing his grasp on reality and was slowly losing it. He was engaging in reckless behavior and eventually he wanted to get past that but he didn't think he'd be able to get over it. People kept insisting that it wasn't Shane's fault but what they didn't know was the fact that it was in fact Shane's fault. Dayton had committed suicide and in his suicide note he'd blamed Shane for it. Nobody knew that and probably never would except Shane. He felt no need to show people that hurtful letter that he kept in his closet hidden from the world. He just didn't want the sympathy and he didn't want to prove everybody wrong. He just wanted to live his life and sometimes... Shane thought about suicide. He was still healing from his father's death but that healing process wasn't going very well. He'd almost killed himself on multiple occasions and that hadn't stopped him from his dangerous behavior. The only thing that kept him from doing the most outlandish things were a few of his friends. He'd be dead right now if it weren't for them.
Shane Moore was slipping up. People whispered that he was maybe losing it and he knew that they were right. Shane had probably already lost it. His mother had tried a psychiatrist but Shane hadn't talked to him. He didn't want to talk about his problems... He wanted to move on from them and not dwell on the past but he was dwelling. Much as he hated to admit it, Shane was dwelling on his father and he was healing in his own twisted, messed up way. He wasn't learning from his mistakes. He did drag racing on the streets in the middle of the night with his car, he had sex with just about every girl, he drank, he smoked, and he messed around with things he probably shouldn't. He'd put his life on the lines a couple of times and he was just being a complete idiot....But it was his way of coping. Deep down, he hoped that maybe one of his life threatening ideas would kill him but he didn't think that consciously. That was a big-time subconscious thought. Consciously, Shane was glad that he was stopped by some unseen force from dying. Somehow, his friends always showed up or some random stranger would pull him out of his situation. He couldn't rely on other people forever to pull him out. He was going to have to learn to pull himself out of his own mistakes eventually, but right now, he was going to continue 'coping'. If his life was taken, it meant he was supposed to be dead. That was Shane's logic even though it was the worst logic in the whole, entire world.
Shane Xzavier Moore grinned happily and said, "Glad to hear I'm just that amazing. Fortunately for you and I, you're just that amazing too." He grinned, just ribbing with her. He liked to tease Kathrine, she was fun to tease. Then again, Shane thought everybody was fun to tease but sometimes he got overly cruel. "Making it up sounds great to me." He kissed her back even though it was just a peck. Today was going to be a much more interesting day.

No one knew that Kathrine hated herself. While she had nothing but confidence, she hated what she had become. When she had grown up she wanted to be a teacher. She wanted to get married to her high school sweetheart and have three children. Her future was so wonderful in her mind but slowly her dreams shattered. She was pretty okay with telling her closest friends everything, but this was something that none of them knew. She had heard people talk that even her friends thought she was a whore, but she hadn't really questioned it. She guessed that the fact that her friends could see her as a whore made her really think about what she was doing with herself. She could potentially ruining everything for herself. If her father found out he would surely disown her. At least that was what she thought. Her father would never do such a thing. Katie was his princess, and everyone knew that he would only talk her out of her lifestyle.
Katie had always wondered if people just said things to her face then talked about her poorly behind her back. She only hoped that Shane didn't do that. Of course he hoped that she didn't speak of their intimate relationship at all only because it was illegal. Poor Shane was only a junior in high school, and she herself was twenty-two. If anyone ever found out Kat could find herself in jail. Though it would be a terrible place for her to end up, she liked the thrill and the danger that was involved in their sex life. It sort of gave her an adrenaline rush that made everything that much better. They drank together, they did plenty of other things that Katie just didn't need to be doing with Shane, or even alone but she loved it. She wouldn't say she loved him, not as more than an amazing friend that did amazing things for her. No one would ever understand what happened between them and they would never understand why they didn't just date but well Shane and Katie did and that was all she was worried about.
Kathrine Rayne couldn't help but laugh at Shane's happy grin. "Oh well, you have to know that you're amazing. I mean you keep me coming around for more." she said with another small laugh. "Hmm. I'm glad I'm that amazing, I don't know how I keep a youngin' like you with an old woman like me." she said immitating an old woman. She wasn't old at all in all honesty. She smiled against his lips. "Sounds even greater to me." she added letting her hand drop to one of his belt loops. She let her finger loop inside of it as her other hand pulled his face closer to hers. Her lips massaged his and it was all but heaven.

~ ♛ ~ IN YOUR HEAD, IN YOUR HEADT H E Y A R E F I G H T I N G~ ❀ ~ ❀ ~ ❀ ~ ❀ ~ ❀ ~ ❀ ~ ❀ ~ ❀ ~ ❀ ~ ❀ ~ Shane despised himself more than ever before now. No matter what he did, he was screwing up. He felt like he was letting someone down if he so much as shifted his weight now. Shane was always hurting somebody in the end, no matter what. He was letting somebody down at all times, even when he was sleeping. He was letting himself down at all times though he wasn't worried about that in the least. Shane was more worried about letting his mother or his friends down but he was always doing that too. He was falling to pieces; he was breaking down and now he had to deal with the consequences. He had to deal with the pain in his own way; some people thought he was crazy, but Shane knew he was crazy. He knew he was falling apart and so did a few of his friends. Others thought that he was just taking a personality change and becoming more fun. Shane figured the people who knew he was falling apart were the better friends and the ones he should probably stick with.
Shane Xzavier Moore would be dead right this second if his mother knew that Kat was here. She didn't know he was friends with older girls than himself and he intended on keeping it that way. She'd accuse him of doing naughty things with her and unfortunately, she'd be right. It was a bad habit for Shane but now he was in the lime light when it came to girls. It was better than hanging around with his mother and Harvey, her boyfriend, that Shane figured she was going to marry. He didn't want her to marry the guy but Shane Xzavier Moore was pretty damn sure that he was out of luck. He sighed unhappily just thinking about it. He needed to get outta here as soon as he could. He couldn't stand living with his parent anymore. He couldn't deal with Harvey and he couldn't handle his mother moving on SO damn quickly from his father. His father had only been dead a few months and she was so fast to move on. It hurt to see her happy again already though Shane knew he should be feeling happy for her. He couldn't help but be jealous of her blissful happiness. He couldn't help but be jealous that she got to be happy and was able to move on. It was bad for him to think that she should be suffering just as much as he was and he knew that, but he couldn't help it.
Shane laughed in perfect synch with her even though his voice was a whole lot deeper than hers. "I think it's the other way around. I think you keep me coming back for more." He was definitely messing around with her now. "Pfft, you're not old at all. You only wish you were, you'd have all sorts of maids at the palm of your hands. OH, and you'd have all sorts of young'uns coming to visit you for charity purposes." He was ribbing with her, same as usual. It made their lives less complicated to be serious about anything. He smiled at her words and become putty in her hands. He kissed her back, deepening it a little. Oh yes, life was about to become interesting again. Hopefully his mother would never, ever find out about his secret life.
