Switching schools was always such a tedious and stressful process. Aubrey didn’t like change with little tiny things, let alone something as big as a school? Oh no, he was not handling this one well at all. He was staggering through his classes- hell, he was staggering through life at this point. It was only his first day, and already he was having trouble. He couldn’t find his way through the school, he didn’t care for the dirty looks he got from people, and the fact that teachers were treating him as if he was a helpless little girl was not helping him either. People were talking to him as if he couldn’t understand what they were saying, and it was quite bothersome. Maybe it was his small stature? He was a tiny individual, but he didn’t think he looked like a totalincompetent moron. Aubrey always found it difficult to fit into certain classes in school, but he never thought it would be this hard.
He wasn’t wearing anything too out of the norm today, well, at least in his opinion; just an overly large, baggy purple hoodie that had some dark writing on the front. The sleeves went down past his hands and swerved a little when he walked. He wore dark red skinny jeans with streaks of purple decorating them and red converse to finish off his look. Around his neck was a small silver heart necklace that was concealed beneath his hoodie. He was walking towards the student lounge to gather himself, when suddenly he felt himself lurching forward and falling. His cheek gently collided with the ground and he let a small grunt out as his books gently scattered across the floor. His eyes flickered to the boys who were walking past him, pushing each other and laughing as Aubrey gently pushed himself to his knees, letting his weight fall back onto them as he sighed, his dark hair sliding gently across his face. His petite arms moved out and began to gather the books, a defeated look held within his eyes.
This school year was definitely going to be interesting. [/size]

Jocelyn quickly grabbed her math books and science stuff and shoved them in her backpack. She was quite bored with wandering pointlessly around the halls, though her point was to find one of her buddies-or anyone interesting enough to stop and talk to. Joce was a pretty outgoing person, and was what most consider a social butterfly. Her good natured attitude and hard to anger personality served her well. Even though she had more friends than she could count on her fingers, they were all doing well with hiding. If only it were hide and seek..! she thought to herself. Thats the other thing, she has a slightly childish personality so hide and go seek, chalk, play dough, scooters-would all keep her entertained for hours on. She released a sigh as she did a quick scan of the hallway, still not finding anyone. Jocelyn closed her locker with a bang and stalked off down the hallway.
She had no destination in mind, well maybe she would head over to her science classroom and drop her stuff down. She smiled politely as she passed a few people, she'd seen them around but didn't know them; Joce being Joce was always smiling at people. She did hope she didn't look like a creeper. Her smile dropped when she saw a few rowdy jocks up ahead. They were huge dicks to everyone and were one of the elite few to be able to piss her off. She glanced curiously ahead at a scrawny kid with a big purple hoodie and red pants. Oh crap. Jocelyn knew that it was him or her getting taken out when they walked by, she could tell by their evil glares. But seeing as that Jocelyn had brought one of their men down to his knees before for being jerks to her again, they only glared at her and never again had touched her. The kid in front of her was set crashing to the ground and his books and papers went everywhere. She gasped before fury bubbled up. One of them would be one his knees ASAP.
Jocelyn walked up to the dudes, momentarily ignoring the kid on the ground. Their expressions were mixed with surprise and a little fear. Her gaze went to the one on the right who had shoved the kid and shoved him down the hallway. "You! Security office now! Don't wanna end up like your buddy did last time, do yah?" She smiled triumphantly as his gaze lowered and he walked slowly down the hallway. She would have kickrd him someplace special but she felt bad about that and last time it was outside and there weren't as many witnesses around. Giving a final warning glance to the jerk-offs and spectators she walked over to the kid. "Hey, I'm Joce. Sorry about the a-holes, I would have done some mean things to them, but there were too many people around and I totally don't want to go to ISS or something." She said a bit playfully to the kid as she knelt down beside him. She herded his mess of papers to him before she caught eye of a scheldule and a welcome letter. "A new student!" she said excitedly. New people were always the coolest, and she had nothing to do so hopefully he wouldn't mind a little Jocelyn right now.

Aubrey didn't particularly care for people in this school. It was kind of sad to him how everyone was such a douche bag pretty much, minus the few people he liked. Oh yeah, the few people he liked were so rare...it was unbelievable. It was one of the main reasons he always was with his Cello. His Cello was one of his closest friends, believe it or not. Even though it wasn't real and it couldn't talk or do anything that a "normal" friend could do, it was still a friend. It was the person he told all of his secrets too. It was the friend that knew him the most, and he knew no one in this school could ever amount to that of his cello. He had shared so much with it. So many songs, so much feeling went into it...it was practically a person to him, and even if it sounded crazy, he didn't care. This was why people thought he was so antisocial sometimes. It was because he didn't like to talk to a lot of the people in this school. He didn't like making awkward small talk, and he only had in depth conversations with people he really liked.
He wasn't surprised when he was pushed by the boys. He was never really surprised when he got bullied...it was one of those things that was just sort of there. He didn't care for them, but of course they existed; the idea that people could jut disappear simply because they gave you a hard time...yeah, that was never true. The idea that you had to develop a rough skin because people would never actually leave you alone? Yeah, that was the right idea. He was a little surprised though...when he heard someone coming? He saw a girl confront the boys in a matter of seconds...and they actually looked scared of her. Whoever this chick was, she seemed to know how to deal with people. He smiled gently to her as she bent down and helped him with his stuff, and he took it back with a timid smile.
"T-thank you." He said in a small voice. He smiled a little wider at the excitement she expressed to learn he was new.
"Y-yeah...I'm Aubrey...what grade are you in? I'm a sophomore." He let his hand extend gently out to shake hers.
It was about time he made some friends.

Jocelyn may have been at the high school for a year, but she had made quite an impression on quite a few people. Like the small posse of jerks being mean like always. It wasn't like they were getting away with it; they'd been sent to the office too many times to count. Joce wish there were more people like her out there-cheery, helpful, and just down right amazing! But nope, what would the Earth be without idiots roaming around terrorizing the halls. She let out a soft sigh and continued marching forward through the mass of people. She knew any moment the kid in front of her would go down, she silently held her breathe just before one of the a-holes arms shot out and the kid went diving to the floor. Seeing that she knew she wouldn't be just another bystander whispering and pointing. Goodness how those people annoyed her. Her feet took her straight in front of the guys, she liked the look of surprise on their faces.
Jocelyn quickly set them straight, giving them a few snide retorts and even mocking them a little. She knew they wouldn't do anything to her at the moment, there's no proof they won't gang up and do something evil later. Exhaling sharply she gave them one last glare before her gaze went to the kid on the floor. He was slowly gathering up his stuff which was all over the floor. "Idiots.." she muttered under her breath. Jocelyn tucked her hair behind her ears before helping the kid account for all his things. It was impossible for her not to make a playful comment about the bullies to the kid, just trying to help cheer him up a little. Joce couldn't help it when her eyes came across the schedule and welcome letter. All the freshies had gotten one, they were formal and offered no such info that common sense hadnt already covered. When she glanced up from the papers he wore a small smile, which instantly made Jocelyn even more excited. He stammered out a thank you and smile a bit bigger. "Pssh! No problem. Let's just say me and thah boys have met before." She pointed to where the guys had been standing and rolled her eyes. They were no problem for her, she planned on making that true for the newbie too.
The kid had black hair and quite the outfit on. She actually thought it was cool and creative and all, but this school was an uptown school and had their code of clothes going on. Designer stuff in-->anything that costs less than $500 out! It was exaggerating but that's how Jocelyn felt. "Y-yeah...I'm Aubrey. What grade are you in? I'm a sophomore." Jocelyn smiled and nodded as he talked, glad he was smiling and not getting upset about being shoved around. It was bound to happen around this school. "I'm Jocelyn or Joce. And I'm a freshie!" She smiled brightly. Jocelyn loved calling freshman freshies though upperclassmen thought it was an insult or something. She smiled lightly as she shook his hand. "Yay for underclassmen!" She said rather loudly, before saying "Boo upperclassman! Until I'm there that is..." Finally seeing that Aubrey had his stuff back together she stood up, doing a quick scan to see the time; they still had 15 minutes before the first bell rang. "So, where you headed to? Anywhere specific or just roaming the halls in boredom like I was?" Joce smiled sweetly and asked.
