And I feel just like I’m living someone else’s life
It’s like I just stepped outside

I’m just too far from where you are
I wanna come home[/font][/i]
A young sophomore by the name of Renee Wolfe was bored. Completely and utterly bored. And while this wasn't exactly something new for Renee, it was definitely something she hated. And it was all her teacher's fault. Usually, at this time of the day she would be busy being bored in class. And since she couldn't do much about it during the class, the female would usually spend that period doodling. But, her teacher had decided to not come today, and since it had been unexpected, her class had ended up gaining a free period. It wasn't half bad, in fact, it was something most students loved and Renee was no exception to this. However, now that she was roaming around the hallways aimlessly, she was beginning to think the teacher had done that on purpose.
Eventually, her wanderings brought her to the student lounge. Renee found it surprising that the student lounge was almost always empty. Sure, right now most people had classes, but even when that wasn't the case it was hard to find many people there. Not that she was complaining though, she would rather have it this way than full of loud people. Now don't get her wrong, she's as social as a girl can be, but she also happens to enjoy some piece and quiet from time to time. To read a book, for example. It was much nicer to read those in peace and quiet (even though most times she would be listening to music at the same time). Sure, the school had a library where she could read in peace... but well, the library didn't have those really comfy beanbag chairs the student lounge had. And of course, one couldn't suddenly start to sing in the library. Okay, so technically one could, but it wouldn't last long. And she wasn't about to be banned from the library. At least not any time soon.
She pushed the door open and as she expected, the place was deserted. Smiling in contempt, the girl walked in and went straight towards her favourite beanbag chair, one that was placed directly under the window, and thus receiving the most sunlight. Sitting down, Renee fished two items from her bag: her iPod and an anthology of short stories by Edgar Allan Poe. It happened to be one of her favorite writers in the whole world, and in fact, she had read the book time and time again, and pretty much carried it everywhere. That kind of treatment had taken it's toll on the poor thing, which looked as tattered as if it were a thousand years old. Her mother had offered to buy her a new copy of it, but she had refused, she liked the book best this way, it felt like it belonged to her.
Placing in the phones and turning on the device, the girl flipped through the book , randomly searching for a story. It ended up being 'the black cat'. The girl begun to read, pale lips moving ever so slightly as she read each word. It was an habit of hers, one that many people had deemed annoying, but honestly she couldn't see why. It wasn't as if she was reading the book out loud anyway.
