*step into the spotlight,
» FULL NAME: Mallory Cassandra Larson.
» NICKNAMES: Mall - That's not pronounced Mall like, well, a mall, it's pronounced Mal or however it would be spelled. Just say it out loud and you'll get the idea.
» AGE/BIRTHDAY: 16/December 21st.
» GENDER: Female. Obviously.
» ORIENTATION: I'm straight. I'll experiment if I have to.
» CANON OR ORIGINAL: Canon.
» GROUP/GRADE: Sophomore.
*let them see who you are,
» HAIR: Mallory has sparrow colored black hair that falls slightly past her shoulders. Occasionally, she'll cut it shorter, but she usually puts in extensions to get it back to the original length. She likes it that way.
» EYES: Not the typical chocolate brown, just kind of your run of the mill brown.
» HEIGHT/WEIGHT: She's five foot two and one hundred and twenty pounds. Pretty average.
» DISTINGUISHING FEATURES: None. She has a few freckles but she covers them out with make up. She's intrigued by tramp stamps, but would never get one.
» STYLE: She's flexible. She just wants to be in style. She just follows trends.
» OVERALL: There's nothing about Mallory that's exactly different. That's why you will never see this girl without any make up. The only part she really loves is her cute little button nose, but she's pretty positive most guys don't look at noses. While her hair is nice, it's not exactly "I-just-walked-out-of-the-salon" nice. She has an alright body, but she's no Kim Kardashian or even just Kourtney. Her boobs aren't small. They used to be - puberty took a while to kick in. But when it happened, it happened. But they're still not huge. She's not Katy Perry either. For the most part, she's classified as cute, but she's 16. She doesn't want to be cute anymore.
She doesn't overdo it with make up. She was taught "less is more" by her mother, but she's been known to put a little too much eye make up on. There's something appealing to her about big, brown eyes. It just completes the innocent facade. Of course, she adds light blush and lip gloss (or lipstick if she's going for more of a dramatic feel) and that's really it. It's usually pretty average stuff, but she knows how to work her eye liner pencil. You may occasionally notice, and she's praying you do.
Mallory sticks to trend. She doesn't exactly try to stand out. She isn't a fashionista and unfortunately doesn't have the Gossip Girl cast's stylist's number, but she looks nice. She refuses to not look nice. You're not going to see her in something out of style. She doesn't always follow what the magazines are saying. She's not going to try to wear an over sized plaid shirt and skinny jeans because she's not going to try to look like a hipster because some mainstream magazine told her too, but she'll definitely watch what the other kids are doing. If one of the seniors are going Bohemian, she'll find a headband and pray to God they comment on it. If she sees them all wearing lace, she'll search for lace tights immeditately. She's a follower, not a leader when it comes to fashion. She usually sticks to Calvin Klein and Ralph Lauren. Classic is always better, and they're just sort of familiar. She has no problem wearing things twice, obviously. It's quality over quanity.
*shine through the darkness,
» LIKES: Kids movies, Facebook, coffee at 2 AM, rain, and Panda Express.
» DISLIKES: McDonald's, whores, confrontation, immaturity, too much noice.
» STRENGTHS: Listening, socializing, charming, cute (if that even counts), loyal.
» WEAKNESSES: Somewhat clingy, somewhat obsessive, naive (even though she tries to deny it), trust - she never forgets, self concious.
» SECRETS: She tells people she's had sex but she's actually kind of a prude. Her parent's marriage is completely useless and is pretty much a business deal, which has easily ruined her view on love. Because of this, she's never been in a relationship. She tells people she dated a guy over the summer in London, but that never really happened. She just doesn't want to be that dumb virgin who can't get a guy to like her.
» GOALS: To fall in love (but isn't it everyone's?), do finally be completely accepted, and to manage to get an apartment in the city.
» OVERALL PERSONALITY: I would tell you about Mallory, but she doesn't really know herself yet. She kind of just tells you what you want to hear. She doesn't want to disappoint anyone, so she's easily manipulated. She's lived her life being kind of popular, kind of not, and she doesn't want to be that way. She wants to be that popular girl everyone knows. She wants to dazzle when she walks into a room. Unfortunately, she's not there yet. In public, she's a puppet. She says what people want her to say. She'll attack who they want her to attack. She'll praise who they want to praise. She's a people pleaser.
But she's not all bad. Friends are really important to her. She's loyal, but she has troubles letting them stray away. She wants to be sure that they won't abandon her. She wants them there. Yeah, she does get a little jealous when she hears her best friend is hanging out with someone else. Maybe a little more than she should. And when she likes a guy, you just can't like him too. Not unless you want her to humiliate you.
Mallory's just sort of caught up in the middle. She just wants to fit in like every other sixteen year old, but maybe she's a bit more obsessed with it then most. She just wants to be pretty and popular. What's wrong with that?
*dive into your past,
» PARENTS: Damian and Sandra Larson.
» SIBLINGS: None.
» PETS: None.
» SIGNIFICANT OTHER: None.
» OTHER IMPORTANT PEOPLE: None.
» HISTORY: Mallory couldn't see herself anywhere but Manhattan. She was born and raised here. Well, not really. She lives in a house in the suburbs of Manhattan, but she's pretty darn close. She spent most of her childhood near the big city, and has adapted alright. Her childhood is much like anyone's who's from the big city - colorful. That's how she thinks of it. Colorful. Her parents were usually working, but she had her nanny who would usually take her out to the city. Everything was always just so magical. It was like going to the carnival everyday. She was almost always doing something. Maybe not the most simple lifestyle, but it was fine.
Her parents always wanted more children. They kept trying and trying, but it turned out Sandra couldn't have anymore children. They were devastated. After they got the news when Mallory was 7, there really was no room for mistake. Mallory was expected to be all of the children. That means she was forced into athletic so she could be the son her father never had, she was forced into dance lessons so she could dance with her mother, she had to get perfect grades and get into debate so she could be a lawyer like daddy... she just had to be good at everything.
But mother nature catches up to us all. She started gaining weight when she hit sixth grade. She wasn't well developed yet, but she found herself a waist, a bubble butt, and an appetite. It was obvious that she was gaining a lot of weight in very little time. Try having your parents ask you to start going to the gym at eleven years old. They started making her restrict certain foods. That meant no Chinese food, unless she felt like eating fried vegetables, certainly no sweets, and no fast food. Ever. It even came to the point where they would force diet pills down her throat. She knew then that she just couldn't disappoint her parents. She needed to reach perfection, someway or another.
She was always a bit of a wall flower. Sure, she had a handful of friends, but they weren't enough now. She had to make it into the it crowd. The crowd she used to make fun of. She didn't want to disappoint anyone, which was always a bit of a problem. She started to build her way up the social chain. Don't forget, they wanted their child to be homecoming queen too. That's when she started really just caring about being popular. She would do anything to get there. Anything.

» RP SAMPLE:It's official. She's gone insane. This is how you know. Lauren doesn't do things with guys like Aiden. She's not stupid. She's known him for 8 years. That's half of her life. She knew he was bound to be a player then, when he tripped her in front of everyone and then generously picked her up when he saw her frustrated face. He just had some sort of charisma. Then the cliche started, and they become best friend. He was almost like a gay best friend. But better.
She gets how he's attractive. She gets all of it. He's the poster boy for pretty. His eyes, his hair that sometimes brushes against them, his cheekbones, his confidence... Yeah, in general he was a manwhore. Lauren didn't fall for guys like those, even if everyone else did. She's not stupid. Especially because she knows this one so well. She knew him better than he knew himself sometimes.
This is all too cliche for anyone to handle. Maybe she had momentary schizophrenia. She wasn't getting wrapped up in this. She wasn't. Not with him. She was smarter than that. Hell, you'd have to be an idiot to even consider believing someone you know has lied to tons of other girls. Lauren was a lot of things, but she wasn't an idiot. She refused to be an idiot.
But those three words still thickened the air. They were talking about his dog. His dog died. That's all it was. It was him grieving his dead dog. He didn't really having strong feelings for Lauren. Not like that, anyway. She couldn't even make out the word. Love doesn't fit. It wasn't right. He didn't feel anything. He told her that all the time. He lost his ability to feel. He was a shell of a human being. Maybe she didn't believe him then, but he had made some points. He didn't have feelings for anyone but himself. He couldn't honestly have feelings for Lauren. And Lauren didn't have feelings for him. She refuses to let herself get so disappointed. That's all that's going to happen if she were to go after him. That's what's bound to happen anyway.
God, this is all just so stupid. But here she is, pacing around her room, thinking about what she should have done. First off, she probabl shouldn't have responded with "Cool." She never said she was sympathetic, but that was a bit harsh. She could have said "Thanks." or something at least rational. But it's not like she was expecting it. She didn't even look good today. Her hair was up in a ponytail. No one likes the up do. Especially Aiden. He would leave if a girl showed up on a date. He reminds girls that whenever he sees them wearing one. What was different this time? The dog? The atmosphere?
Lauren collapses onto her bed in a very dramatic fashion. The only person she loved at this moment was herself.
