even though sydney is rather small in size she's hard to miss because of her bright red hair. she decided to dye her boring brown hair because she always loved how different red hair was. she's also caught in the strangest outfits that normal people wouldn't think about wearing. she loves to try on new things and feels very comfortable in her skin. though the one thing you can normal find on her clothes would have to be paint or anything else she happened to be using in her art studio. sydney doesn't really focus on labels or designers but goes for anything she think looks nice. instead of finding her at a popular store she'd probably be rummaging around a thrift store instead.

the one important thing to sydney would have to be her art. she takes her art very seriously and hopes that it makes her famous one day. sharing her art with the world is something she always dreamed of. she tends to spend most of her time in her art studio on her own working on whatever she has on her mind. whenever she has an important idea she is known to skip meals just to get it done. she's very ambitious and wants to take her art as far she can go. but staying here in new york under her father's bearing eye doesn't seem to be helping her go anywhere.

» HISTORY:
when bailey and elizabeth were just in their twenties they decided to get married. the couple were both still in college but ended up having their first child carter anyways. it was difficult to raise a kid and go to college at the same time but they had the help of their parents who disapproved of the marriage from the beginning. but the both of them couldn't help but start a family together. but they waited a few years and till they were out of college to have their second child sydney grace clarke. they decided to name her sydney because that was the name that bailey's sister jenny insisted on. she went to the city and fell in love with it as she took photos of everything they saw. as for grace that was the name elizabeth thought went well with it.
as a kid her curiosity tended to get the better of her. she always found herself in difficult situations but couldn't help getting excited while she tried to find a way out. she was always getting grounded by her mother because she was such a trouble maker. she even ended up breaking a few bones which gave her parents so many hospital bills that they didn't know what to do with them. sydney was a very active child and could be found doing almost anything from climbing trees to digging in a sand box. and sydney seemed to draw a crowd with whatever she happened to be doing. even as a child making friends was rather easy for sydney. she was the type of kid that was extremely honest and just said whatever came to her mind. to keep her from going outside and breaking more bones her favorite aunt jenny got sydney her first art set. though she didn't expect sydney to fall so head over heels in love with it she was hoping she would at least enjoy it. sydney was drawing everything around her and everyone she could get to sit still long enough. her aunt was just as enthusiastic about sydney's art as she was. her parents didn't really approve because she seemed to be leaving a mess everywhere she went.
jennifer was able to convince sydney's parents to enroll her in an art class that was for more advanced children but she had a feeling that sydney would be able to handle it. her parents were a little reluctant to let her join just because they wanted her to focus more on her studies instead of playing around with paints. during the art class sydney was exposed to so many different type of art forms that she didn't know what to do with herself. she even signed up for a sculpting class so she could make little figures for her parents. both of the teachers in the class were amazed by her pure talent and couldn't believe someone her age could make the things she could. they put her in an even more advanced class which was full of people much older than she was. it was hard to prove herself when everyone assumed that her age was an obstacle. but sydney was confident in her art work and refused to let anyone bring her down. art made her happy and she didn't want anyone to take away that happiness. sydney was able to convince her father to let her use his old office as an art studio so she would have a place that she could work on her own.
when sydney started high school her father started to try and make her take her work even more seriously. he hired her a tutor and was a big part in her school work. he didn't accept her getting anything less than an A on anything. it was hard to focus on her art when she had a father constantly degrading all the art that she made. the only way he continued to let her buy supplies and take classes were if she got the grades that he approved of. whenever sydney began slacking off in a certain class her father would either lock her studio or prevent her from buying anymore supplies. when she was a sophomore sydney considered running away but the whole idea of a starving artist didn't appeal to her. she always took refuge at her aunts house. it was hard to believe that her aunt and her father were siblings. they were completely different people. her aunt was a photographer who was ready to drop whatever she was doing for a chance to get an amazing picture. she supported all of sydney's dreams to become an artist. and she was the person who was always there for her when she needed it. if she needed someone to take her to an art show in another state jenny was the one to call.
now a junior in high school her and her father still have the same agreement going with grades. but school is really something that sydney doesn't see herself wasting time on. she is more into painting and hanging out with her friends instead of struggling over calculus all night.

» RP SAMPLE:school seemed to drag on as normal. he went to his classes he knew all the material from all the time he spent studying and he'd do well on everything he was given. things were starting to get a little repetitive and cooper wondered if it was time to call rigg and ask him if he wanted to do something with him this weekend. then cooper's mind went back to that girl he was forced to dance with and shook his head. he wasn't ready to meet anymore girls of that nature just yet. she seemed very fun and all but the whole situation was rather embarrassing for him. now it was time for cooper's least favorite class where instead of judging you on your intelligence they judged you on how well your body could perform. and cooper was one of those people who tried to avoid any type of physical exercise what so ever. he had a rather lanky physique which he didn't mind and he didn't plan on changing anytime soon. he always had those moments where he thought he should hit the gym and maybe try to build a few muscles. but cooper would much rather sit and read a book then throw some weights around. it just seemed much more stimulating to him and seemed as though it would be of more use to him in the future. though as soon as cooper entered the locker room he thought maybe he had to be wrong. all the guys around him were definitely much bigger and could probably snap him in half if they really wanted too and cooper couldn't do anything about it. maybe he'd be able to get in a few punches but he doubted they would cause as much pain or injury as he wished they could.
cooper changed into his gym clothes quickly which was just made up of shorts and a shirt. sitting on the bench he tied his shoes as he watched the guys around him start filing out into the gym. with a sigh cooper reluctantly followed them. standing with all these guys made him all of a sudden feel rather small. the gym teacher was unfortunately making them run laps and running was something cooper didn't do often. maybe if he was about to miss the subway he'd run but other than that he liked to take his time to wherever he was doing. cooper started running with the group but it didn't take the group that much time to get far ahead of him. he was one of the people in the back struggling to keep up. shaking his head in disappointment cooper picked up the pace just wanting to run fast enough so that he wouldn't be last. finally after what seemed as though he was running for hours even though it had been a little over ten minutes they were done. but now they had to play dodge ball. a game where balls were purposely being thrown at his body. and the people in his class seemed to want to throw that ball as fast as possible to inflict as much pain as they could. cooper stood in the group waiting to be stuck on a team but as soon as the game started cooper walked to the closest corner and declared himself out of the game. sitting down he crossed his legs happy to be out of the direct line of fire. he leaned against the wall still trying to catch his breath from all the running they had done. hopefully this game would last a while and he could just relax until his next class.
looking up he noticed a boy who looked around his age. cooper had no idea why the boy was talking to him but he knew he had to take the chance and be friendly and hopefully add another friend to his list. hi, you can take a seat if you want cooper said rather quickly. maybe the boy was like him and wasn't into the whole dodge ball scene. if he sat with cooper he'd be safe from all the action. the game was starting to get serious and balls were flying everywhere. even though cooper was pretty sure the rules were not to hit people in the face people were definitely getting hit in the face. and rather hard too, he was sure he even saw someone leave with a bloody nose. shaking his head at the barbaric sport he turned back to his friend who didn't want to take part of the game. i'm cooper by the way he said deciding this would be a good time to introduce himself. maybe the both of them could talk about how much they didn't like the game. cooper went through his thoughts trying to find topics that they would be able to talk about and bond over.
