it was the weekend once again and luke was planning on spending the night out with his friends. or at least the night would start with his friends but would definitely not end with them. he wasn't sure where they were going but he didn't really care as long as he got to leave the house. and he knew wherever they went there would be woman all around because that was pretty much everything on his friends minds. except the difference between him and them was that they were looking for a girl to keep. while luke on the other hand just wanted to have fun for the night and leave the house. his step-mother was really starting to get on his last nerve and living with her was rather difficult. his father on the other end was so passive that he pretty much let luke do whatever he wanted and gave him all the money he could spend. maybe he felt bad for barley being in his life all those years, whatever it was living was definitely easier. getting out of the shower he wrapped the towel around his waist and made his way towards the sink. he touched his chin and wondered if he should bother to shave, it was just a little stubble so he decided to leave it and continue to get ready for the night. he picked out something simple yet nice to wear and after about twenty minutes he was done changing. slipping into his shoes he walked out of his room and looked for something to snack on before he left.
he could hear a car beeping outside so luke grabbed his jacket and was out the door. getting into the car with his friends they told him they were all heading to one of the night clubs in the city. they hadn't been there in a while and this was going to be exciting. the car of course was loud and full of his friends who were all excited to go. tapping on the side of the car he hummed along to the music as everyone spoke and made calls to arrange meetings at the club. luke was only going to be young once and he was planning on taking advantage of that for as long as he possibly could. he wasn't ready to grow up and take responsibility for life just yet. even though he was eighteen he didn't really feel like an adult maybe when he graduated he'd feel some type of responsibility. luke had pretty good grades but with a father like his it didn't really seem to matter. he probably could get into any school he wanted as long as his dad donated a new wing or something to the school. growing up his life was definitely different, he wasn't use to having money all around him. he was use to living in a small house with his grandparents and owning a small restaurant that happened to be in their family for generations. they didn't make that much but when you were ether everyone was always happy and having a nice time. though when you came here everything around you just reeked of money but the people were as distant as could be. his father and his step-mother were married and they didn't even seem that close. it didn't seem like a very good marriage in his case but he didn't like the woman that much anyways so he didn't really care what was going on between them. pushing that out of his mind luke just wanted to focus on having fun tonight and since his parents weren't going to be home the rest of the week he'd be able to bring whoever he wanted home without any worries. that was the case for most weekends so his house was normally party central most of the time.
it didn't take them too long to get there and luke was ready for the night to continue already. they parked the car then they got out and headed for the door. since they were such regulars they never waited in line and just had to walk in. as soon as they entered they were welcomed to loud music and a large crowd of people. he smiled as they walked around and checked out the area and who was there. he had only been in the club for five minutes before a girl offered to buy him a drink. luke thought it was interesting that she was the one offering so he decided to go along with it. she grabbed his hand and pulled him away to some other part of the club. he smiled for a moment when he saw a familiar face at the club. brooke davis, head cheerleader, one of the most popular girls in school. she was definitely an interesting one, she wasn't the type to fall for guys like him that was for sure. though that didn't stop him from trying every once in a while. flirting was her was more for his entertainment then him actually wanting to get anything out of her. at the moment he was more interested in brooke then the girl who he had been talking too. well mostly she was the one doing all the talking and he was trying to pay attention. he could not take all the constant chatter from the girl so he gave her a quick peck on the cheek and told her he'd be back to talk to her later. he really did need a break from her and maybe after a few drinks she wouldn't be easier to pay attention too.

After a long day of homework and studying, Brooke was ready to finally go out and have some fun. Her friends had texted her a few hours ago asking if she felt like going out to the Equinox Nightclub that night for a few drinks and some dancing, and she had immediately agreed. She had been so busy with cheer practise and homework that she hadn’t had much time to just go and hang out with the girls. It was strictly a girl’s night out, and it was something that they all needed after the busy week she knew they’d all had. The best part about living in New York was its nightlife. There were plenty of clubs and bars around for teenagers to go and hang out, and have a good time. Dancing and parting were two of Brooke’s favourite forms of entertainment, so every time someone asked her to go out clubbing, she never hesitated or turned them down. She was only eighteen, but she looked old enough to get into the places she and her friends went into all the time; plus, her looks definitely helped her get in because the bouncers were too busy staring at her to remember to ask for her ID. Her looks weren’t something she liked to use against people or to help her achieve things, but when it came to getting into a club so she could have some fun, she definitely didn’t mind.
After checking her facebook and twitter for anything new, the eighteen year old wandered into the spacious bathroom across the hall from her bedroom and turned on the shower, waiting for the water to heat up. While she waited, she opened the closet door and pulled out one of the freshly laundered fluffy towels that were stacked on the shelf and hung it on the hook just outside the shower stall to await her need of it. Once the water was warm enough, she undressed and stepped in, letting the warmth spread over her body and she reached for the shampoo to wash her hair. She had showered once already that day, but she always did it at least twice a day, especially if she was going out like she was tonight. Brooke never knew who she would see, so she always dressed to impress, and that included always making sure she was clean and fresh. Once she’d scrubbed herself down and massaged the shampoo into her hair and washed it out, she stuck a hand outside the door to grab her towel, then wrapped it around herself and stepped out onto the floor mat, careful not to step on the marble tile and slip. Once she had dried off, she pulled on some pajamas to wear while she got ready, and started to blow dry her long hair into loose curls, spraying a bit of hairspray and rubbing it in to make them stay. After applying her smokey-eye makeup, she walked back into her room and opened her closet door, trying to decide what she should wear.
Once an outfit was decided and put on, she stepped into a pair of high heels, grabbed her Valentino clutch, cell phone, and money then headed into the main living area of the penthouse apartment that she and her parents lived in. Her father was at work, but her mother was home and smiled in greeting as Brooke walked into the room and sat down on the couch. One of her friends was providing the car to drive them to the club that night, so all Brooke had to worry about was not overdoing it. After a few minutes, her phone vibrated and the text message she’d received told her that her ride was there. Standing up and kidding her mother goodbye, Brooke grabbed her jacket and headed down to the lobby, getting into the car and smiling at her friends in greeting. While they drove, the girls talked and laughed, excited for their girls’ night out. Once they were there, they were let right in because of their elite status and immediately headed to the back of the room to get a table. A few of her friends decided to go off and find someone to dance with, but Brooke was content to just hang out at their table for a bit and waved off her friends. When the waiter passed by, she ordered a Purple Haze and sat back on the comfortable chair, waiting for it to come. While she waited, she scanned the room, seeking out potential dance partners for the night and rolled her eyes as a few guys tried to catch her eye. That was when she saw the familiar face of Luke Moreau heading towards her, and she sighed. He was cute, but was also a player who seemed to make it his own personal mission to sleep with every girl in school that he could coax into bed. She debated waving him off, then decided that he might be fun to have around for a bit so she gave him a smile and waved at him, waiting to see if he would walk over to her.

when he saw brooke wave him over he paused for a moment surprised by her gesture. normally she wasn't too much of a fan of him hitting on her. it wasn't as though he could let someone as attractive as her go along with her day without him hitting on her? it would be a shameful thing to do. but this time she was the one who wanted his attention? luke couldn't help but grin for a moment wondering where this night was going to be going. making eye contact with her for a second he continued walking in her direction but before he got there he took a turn and headed towards the bar. he knew that would probably not take too well with brooke not knowing why he didn't come over. normally luke wasn't the type of guy to play games with a girl and was forward with his intentions. but tonight wasn't going along with typical nights. normally he'd be at the club and he'd pick up girls like the one he had just been talking too. the type of girls that were mostly fun for that one night and he didn't bother continuing something with them later on. he knew most people thought he was a jerk for using a girl for a night then not bothering with her again. but the reason she hit on him in the first place was for the exact same reason so he never felt bad. and it wasn't like he agreed to talk to them again later after the night ended. girls knew what they were getting into with him and if they didn't want anything to do with him saying no really wasn't that difficult.
walking to the bar he ordered two more drinks and waited for the bar tender to get them. the bartender looked at him for a moment wondering if she should card him or not. luke gave her a smile and she smiled back and started to make both of his drinks. tapping his fingers against the bar he looked around the club for a few familiar people. looking at the dance floor people were starting to get a little wild and he couldn't wait to become apart of it. maybe if he was lucky tonight he may even get to take a certain head cheerleader on there with him. the bartender gave him his drinks and he slipped her the payment telling her to keep the change of course. the next time he was at the club he needed to make sure that he came to her for another drink and possibly a phone number while he was at it. turning around he looked around the club once more and noticed his friend trying to buy a girl a drink. so far he was looking rather successful and when luke made eye contact with him he raised his drink and grinned. chuckling to himself a bit he walked back through the club towards the back of the club to the table brooke had been sitting at. good thing for him she was still there and another guy hadn't already captured her attention. making his way towards her he put the drinks on the table and took a seat across from her. the table was empty and luke was sure that she hadn't come here alone. he was almost positive that he saw a few other cheerleaders on the dance floor. though instead of joining them she was sitting here all alone. brooke davis, sitting all alone he said his french accent obvious when he said her name. this is a rather rare sight he commented watching her closely for her reaction. she was the one who had waved him over here but he still wasn't sure what her actual intention was going to be.

The club was full of people, which really wasn’t that unusual. Manhattan’s nightlife was always buzzing with people, especially teenagers drinking and dancing off the stress of school and daily life. Growing up in New York wasn’t always easy, which was why so many underagers tried to sneak into the nightclubs. Not everyone succeeded because they were clearly younger than twenty one, but some – like Brooke – could get in because of their looks or how they dressed. Brooke herself looked older than eighteen, and even if she didn’t she knew she wouldn’t have too much of an issue getting into clubs. That was the only thing she ever used her natural beauty and the feelings of lust that she caused to her advantage, and the bouncers were always too shocked by her beauty to deny her entrance. She and her friends were all lookers, so they never had issues, and that was one of the best things about being a pretty girl in Manhattan – or anywhere really. It also helped if you knew the bouncers of the club, which she knew mostly because of her parents and how well known they were. Life was pretty much amazing in that aspect.
Brooke watched as Luke paused, surprised, when she waved at him and she giggled to herself. She could understand why he was surprised that she was waving him over since most of the time, she basically just ignored him and didn’t play along when he hit on her all the time, but she was bored at the moment and didn’t feel like dancing just yet. Under normal circumstances, she would have simply ignored him when he looked her way and let her eyes scan the club for a bit while she had a few drinks then joined her friends, but tonight that just didn’t seem very appealing. She watched him as he started to make his way towards her, then saw him stop and turn around which confused her. It wasn’t a big deal if he wasn’t going to join her since she was sure someone else would eventually, so she just turned away and started looking around the club for other options. While she looked around, the drink she had ordered came and she smiled warmly at the guy when he placed it in front of her, watching as a faint blush spread across his cheeks. As she pulled the glass towards her and lifted it to her lips to take a sip, she watched a guy trying to hit on her friend and convince her to let him buy her a drink. At this, Brooke smiled in amusement, finding it funny that he was so out of her friend’s league and would probably strike out. But, knowing her friend, if she wanted a free drink badly enough she wouldn’t object. That was the way Brooke was too, though she normally preferred to get her own to make sure there was no funny business going on like being slipped something through her drink.
Taking another sip of her drink, she set it back down on the table and was about to get up when she heard a familiar voice and turned to see Luke sitting across from her, two drinks sitting on the small table between them. “What can I say,” she responded casually to his comment. “Nobody really interesting enough to waste my time on.” She realized after that Luke might think that she included him in that too, but she had waved him over so she hoped that he wouldn’t think that. “Plus, it’s kind of amusing sitting here and watching some of these guys try to hit on my friends,” she said with a smile, gesturing towards the one still trying to convince one of her friends to let him buy her a drink. “Where’s that girl you were with earlier? Get bored too quickly?” she asked curiously.

does that mean i'm interesting enough for you to waste your time on? he said with a small grin knowing that she really couldn't say no to that. she was the one had called him over here so she must have at least thought that he could bring some fun into her night. and of course he would be able to do that if she would let him. he turned to the friend she was talking about that was being bothered by some guy to buy her a drink. luke watched amused as the guy continued to try, if the girl didn't want the drink he probably should have gotten the hint. taking a sip of his own drink he turned away from the guy disappointed by his persistence. luke didn't understand guys who kept trying even though it was obviously a lost cause. maybe he would get lucky and the girl would decide she wanted the drink. but even if she wanted the drink that didn't necessarily mean she wanted him. are you going to let me buy you a drink? he asked brooke curiously gesturing to the extra drink he had on the table. he wasn't sure how she was going to respond but he knew it was probably going to be interesting. hopefully she would take the drink but if she didn't luke would have another drink ready to chug as soon as he finished his.
he smiled for a moment when she asked about the girl he had been with. maybe she had been paying more attention to him than he thought. and here he was thinking that brooke didn't want him on her radar. maybe things were changing in a nice way for him. i don't have the best of attention spans i'll admit he told brooke with a shrug. searching the crowd he noticed the girl he had been talking too with her next victim. poor guy didn't know what he was getting himself into. she was the type of girl who just loved to hear herself talk. and even if you weren't listening she didn't seem to care she just continued to talk. luke didn't see the point of wasting his time talking to someone when he didn't even know what they were talking about. and she obviously got over him rather quickly so he wouldn't have to find an excuse for why he hadn't returned to her earlier.
finishing his drink luke stood up for a moment and took a few steps onto brooke's side of the table. extending his hand he hoped she would be up to taking it. dance with me? he asked her with a smile on his face. it was a shame to come to a club and sit down the entire time. besides she wanted someone interesting and he could be much more interesting on the dance floor. looking around the dance floor was still crowded of course but not as bad at it had just been. but then again the more people that were on the floor the closer he would be to brooke. today just seemed to be one of his lucky days. maybe he would get to know brooke on a more personal level instead just flirting around with her whenever he was around her.
[sorry not that great of a reply ):]

At Luke’s response, Brooke merely rolled her eyes and pulled her drink towards her to take a quick sip. “Seems that way, doesn’t it?” she said, placing the drink back on the table and smirking at him. That was a comment that would probably go to his head and boost his ego, but she didn’t really care at the moment. Luke wasn’t the kind of guy that she would normally waste her time talking too, but tonight she was feeling bored and he seemed like a good source of fun…at least until it was time to go. She followed Luke’s gaze to her poor friend, on whom the guy would just not give up on. It was amusing for her, and probably for Luke, but her friend was probably going to murder Brooke and their other friends later for not intervening and saving her from that guy. Brooke’s defence was that she’d been busy with someone, but if it went on much longer than she promised herself that she would get up and save her friend. But, until then, she was content to just sit where she was and watch on in amusement. It really was pathetic how some guys just refused to take no for an answer, and how some didn’t understand that a girl might want a drink because she’d be getting it for free, but wouldn’t necessarily give him anything in exchange. At Luke’s question, Brooke raised an eyebrow and looked down at the extra drink he had brought over and placed on the table. “Seems like you already have,” she responded, giving him a smile. “Just let me finish this one then I’ll drink that one.” She normally would have asked what it was, but she thought that it might be rude of her to do that so she just shrugged and took another rather large sip of her own drink, enjoying the taste of sweet purple liquid. She was such a girl when it came to alcohol, but she didn’t care. In her opinion, beer was disgusting and girly drinks like coolers and mixed drinks were the way to go. She saw him smile at her question about the other girl he’d been with, and she rolled her eyes. Now he probably thought that she’d kept him on her radar and she really hadn’t, she’d merely looked towards the bar for her friends and had seen him standing there too. “Well, I’ll know what happened if you disappear on me then,” she teased, feeling strange to be doing so with Luke since he was someone she’d already pegged as not her type at all. She followed his gaze and noticed the girl he had been with now talking the ear off of another guy. “She doesn’t seem too upset by your disappearance,” Brooke said simply, taking another drink. After a few minutes, she finished her own drink and then picked up the extra drink he had brought, taking a sip and finding that it wasn’t too bad. Then, she watched as he got up and came over to her side of the table with his hand extended. Raising an eyebrow, Brooke considered her options. She could say no and send him on his way but she was determined to have fun and do something different than she normally did. “Yeah, why not,” she responded, giving him her hand and picking up her drink and purse to bring with her. Then, she waited for him to lead her off, wondering how well he moved since she had never seen him dance. He probably had other ideas on his mind, but for the moment she really didn’t care. It was all about fun and relieving stress, and for the moment all he wanted was to dance. As the night progressed, however, she figured that he’d probably make his true intentions more clear and when he did she’d have to make a decision for herself.

yes it does, let's hope i don't disappoint he told her taking a sip of his drink. he was almost done and he was probably going to have to get himself another one soon. drinks just kept the night more interesting and brooke wanted interesting so that was just what he was going to have to give her. running a hand through his hair he looked around the club for a moment trying to find where his friends were. most of them were just sitting at a table in the back drinking with some girls they found. and the entire table seemed pretty drunk so he wondered how long they'd be able to keep their hands off each other. unfortunately some of his friends just couldn't handle liquor very well. but the girls they were with obviously couldn't handle it either so they seemed like a good pair. everyone else seemed to be on the dance floor which he hoped to be on soon also.
well i'm glad you're willing to drink it luke told her with a small smile on her own. at least getting her a drink was easier than her friend over there who still was unfortunately suffering from the presence of that guy. luke wasn't sure how many drinks he had so far but he didn't plan on stopping anytime soon. he had to admit he loved to drink and definitely didn't know when to stop. but when he was out at a club other than hit on girls he wasn't sure what else he was suppose to do. it was mostly when he was out that he did the majority of his drinking. though he still had a few every once in a while when he was at home. even though nobody else in his house was much of a drinker the place always seemed to be full of alcohol. his dad always kept a nice stock just in case they were ever to have guests over. though it seemed as the only one really having use for that stock was luke and whoever he invited over to his house that night. he couldn't help but smile when she teased him. she wasn't the kind of girl he would need to disappear from. it would make more sense if she disappeared from him considering she wasn't into guys like him. and normally he didn't bother with girls like that but brooke was an exception, and he could always use a challenge once in a while. i can't say i'm very heartbroken about it he told her truthfully. hopefully that guy had better luck with her then he did. there was no way he was going to let himself get stuck in another conversation with her. he'd probably be bored to death talking about whatever it was she loved to talk about.
he looked at her waiting for a response hoping he would get the one that he wanted. and luckily he got just that and she agreed to dance with him. she gave him her hand and brought along her drink and purse while she was at it. taking her hand he started to make his way through the crowd and onto the dance floor. when it came to dancing luke was actually pretty good. only because his mother was always dancing around the house and would make him join her. she was definitely the free spirit type and did whatever she felt was right at the moment. so if it meant she had to stop cooking dinner to dance to one of her favorite songs that happen to be playing she'd do just that. and she'd always ask luke to dance along and sometimes it was hard to refuse his mother. though if he had more time with her he was sure he'd never say no and would dance to her hearts content. unfortunately that wasn't the case and normally when he was at the club he normally just stuck to simple moves. it didn't take them too long to get through the crowd and they finally made it on the dance floor. turning around he pulled brooke a little closer to him as he got deeper into the crowd. they were surrounded by people who were just pushing the both of them closer together.

At Luke’s response, Brooke simply rolled her eyes. He wasn’t one of those people that she would willingly spend time around but since she had decided to make the night interesting, she had decided to give him some attention, which he was clearly basking in. “I have a feeling that you won’t,” she teased, watching as he took another sip of his drink. She followed his gaze to the table where his friends were sitting with some girls, and they all seemed pretty drunk. Brooke had no idea how long any of them had been there so far, but she had a feeling it hadn’t been very long and she rolled her eyes at how drunk they had all gotten in such a short amount of time. Personally, Brooke never drank to get drunk, and very rarely ever got past the slightly tipsy stage because she preferred not to make a fool of herself. Of course, most people in the clubs she went too were too gone to notice anything ridiculous like that, but she didn’t care. She didn’t understand why people purposely drank more than they could handle but she never questioned it because it was just better not too. Her own friends weren’t like that, which was all that mattered since she really didn’t want to carry any of them up to their doors because they could barely stand at the end of the night. However, Luke seemed like having to do that was going to be a definite possibility judging by the looks of his friends. At this, she simply rolled her eyes in amusement and took another sip of the second drink he had brought to their table. She smiled at him when he said he was glad she was drinking it, not sure what it was but liking the taste of it. “Well, thank you for buying it. What is it anyway?” she inquired curiously. It tasted like there was vodka in it, but she couldn’t be sure. Whatever it was, was what Luke was drinking too and she wasn’t sure if she should be suspicious of him trying to get her drunk or not. She took a moment to look over at her friend - who seemed to have escaped the guy that been trying to buy her a drink for the last twenty minutes for the time being- and she wondered if another one was going to approach or not. Brooke herself was content sitting there with Luke, because she really didn’t feel like dealing with guys who didn’t know when to give up that night. It would just spoil the night, and she didn’t want that happening. Plus, she was more just there to kill some time and get a break from homework. Clubbing was the best break from that, since New York clubs were always a blast and Brooke could get in even though she was still a minor until her birthday, and she loved every second of nights like this. The way she saw it, spending time with one person she had openly said she would never willingly spend time with was a way to shake things up and make the night interesting, and so far that was exactly what was going on. She also thought he considered her a challenge since she never gave into his advances any other time, so the night had already taken an interesting turn. “I wouldn’t be either. She looks like she can talk an ear off without really trying,” Brooke responded, rolling her eyes as she watched the girl approach another guy. As Luke pulled her up, Brooke allowed him to lead him through the crowd. It wasn’t surprising how many people were there since the Equinox was a popular place most nights, and it also wasn’t surprising that it was mostly the younger generation that were filling up the place. As Luke lead her through the crowd, she saw a few familiar faces and smiled and nodded, ignoring the looks she was getting from people who knew she would never go for Luke. Once he stopped, Brooke took a moment to survey the space they had and found that it was probably the only place on the floor that gave a little more than a few inches of space. That, however, started to change as people began to surround them and pushed them closer together. Shrugging, Brooke listened to the music for a moment then let go of Luke’s hand, turning her back to him and starting to move. “Let’s see what you’ve got,” she teased, sipping her drink while she danced. she took the drink that he had gotten her and tasted it. and she even thanked him for buying it. you're welcome, just something really good he told her with a small smile. it was a very strong drink but that was the only kind that could ever actually get him drunk these days. he hadn't realized when he brought both of the drinks that he wasn't sure what type of drinker brooke was. she could always be one of those girls who went for the real colorful drinks or those girls who could really hold their liquor and went for the hardcore stuff. but since she continued to drink it he figured that she liked how it tasted. as long as she didn't drink too much after this she wouldn't get too wasted. luke knew he probably should do the same but it was hard for him to not want more. looking over at the bar luke tried to figure out what drink he was on but after the third one he seemed to have lost count. but he wasn't drunk yet so there would definitely be more drinks in his future.thankfully i got away while i could luke said with a grin as his eyes followed the girl around the club. the boy seemed to realize what a mess he was in and started to order more drinks. probably the smartest move luke thought as he put his attention back on the beautiful brunette sitting in front of him.
when they were finally at the right position to start dancing luke couldn't help but smirk at brooke's comment. she started to dance and he joined her placing a hand on her waist. he wasn't sure how long they had been dancing but dancing with brooke was definitely entertaining. he wasn't sure if she was dancing with him because she had too much to drink but whatever it was he was enjoying himself. after a while luke wasn't sure he'd be able to dance any longer. he had to lean in and speak directly into brooke's ear so she could hear his suggestion we should go get more drinks. he made his way to the bar and ordered a few shots. the bar tender didn't take too long to get them in front of him. downing the first two luke turned to brooke wondering if she would be up to taking shots with him. luke was definitely a little tipsy by now but not enough to make a fool of himself. turning back to the bartender luke ordered another two shots. he set one in front of him and the other one on the chair next to him. tapping the seat next to him luke gestured to brooke to take a seat and drink more shots with him. time to make the night more interesting ms.davis luke said with a nod as he downed the shot in front of him. alcohol is a wonderful thing luke thought to himself. and he was glad he was in the position to drink as much of it as he could no matter if he wasn't the legal age.

At Luke’s response, Brooke raised an eyebrow and regarded him. “Well, that’s entirely not helpful,” she remarked with mock annoyance. “How am I supposed to know what to order if I happen to want another one at some point tonight, or even next time I’m here?” She didn’t mean for it to sound rude or anything, she was really just playing around. It tasted good, but maybe a bit stronger than she would have liked. However, it was rude to not drink something if it was bought for you in Brooke’s experience, so she stirred the straw around the glass a few times before taking another swig from the glass. In all honesty, she was probably never going to order that particular drink ever again, but she was still curious as to what it was because it tasted pretty good and seemed a bit stronger than what she was used too. She wondered how many of them a person like her would have to drink to get drunk, but she would never actually test that because she didn’t drink to get drunk like most people her age did. To Brooke, it was just pointless and stupid, and gave people excuses to make total and complete fools of themselves. To some that would have been a good thing but the eighteen year old wasn’t one of those people. Her blue eyes followed Luke’s gaze as he watched the girl move around the room, and Brooke rolled her eyes. “Wow, got some pretty high standards tonight don’t you?” she teased, finding it odd given the reputation that Luke had. As the music started to play, Brooke moved against Luke and let him place his hand on her waist. She wasn’t exactly drunk at this point, but she was getting to the tipsy stage and decided to use that as her excuse for actually dancing with him. Under normal circumstances, she would have never given him the attention he so badly wanted, but for her tonight was all about doing something different and having some fun. As she moved along with Luke, she scanned the dance floor for her friends and spotted a few of them a few feet away. When they gave her questioning looks, all she did was shrug and get a laugh out of them. It was going to be an interesting story to tell after tonight. He was a surprisingly good dancer, which made it a bit more enjoyable. She would have hated to be stuck with someone who was a huge player and a horrible dancer all night. When he leaned in, Brooke couldn’t help wondering if he was going to try to kiss her, but all he did was whisper in her ear. “Sounds good,” she said, following him to the bar, where he took a shot. She watched as he ordered two more, then placed one on the counter in front of the chair beside him. When he patted it, she walked over and took a seat, picking up her own shot. “Interesting indeed,” she said, lifting it to her lips and drinking it down before putting it back on the counter. “I think it’s almost time for me to call it a night,” she said, wondering if her friends were ready or not. i'll tell you soon enough he told her with a wink. he didn't find it surprising when she teased him on his standards. tonight? my standards are never anything but high he told her with a small smirk. most people thought he slept with anything with a skirt but that wasn't the case. he tended to let rumors get out of hand but only because he thought they were so entertaining. and girls seemed to want to sleep you even more if they thought you did crazy things on your weekends. of course he didn't want to disappoint them so he let people say what they wanted. he was glad to see she took a seat and actually downing the shot along with him. luke hadn't planned to get drunk tonight but at the rate he was going it seemed as though it was going to happen. but unfortunately brooke didn't seem to want to go down the same path. just a few more shots and then i'l let you get back to your friends he told her as he ordered another round for the both of them.
-fast forward through the rest of the night and dirty things-
luke was passed out on his bed not sure how much he had to drink the night before. he could barely remember coming home and could only remember parts of the night. opening his eyes he checked the time and just turned away from the clock not ready to wake up just yet. but when he turned around he realized that there was someone else in the bed with him. most people would probably be worried having a stranger in bed with them but this was pretty normal for luke. getting up he looked over wondering who he had brought back home with him. with a surprised smile he realized it was the one and only brooke davis. one of girls who probably thought they would never have anything to do with him. shaking his head in amusement he pulled on some boxers and walked over to the kitchen. luke was glad that his parents were gone for the weekend not that it would have stopped him from bringing a girl over but it made things less awkward for her when she was leaving. he made his way over to the coffee machine turning it on knowing that the both of them probably needed a really strong drink for the hangover. he passed by a mirror and noticed that he had lipstick all over him. whatever happened last night he really hoped he would remember it soon. heading into the bathroom he started to wash off the lipstick and do the rest of his normal morning routine. it didn't take him long to finish in the bathroom and right when he did the coffee was ready. walking into his room
luke leaned on the side of the door and hoped that brooke had already awoken. how much sugar do you like in your coffee? he asked her with a small smile on his face wondering how she would react knowing she slept with him. looking around his room he saw their clothes pretty much scattered everywhere, there were even some pieces of clothes in the hall. it seemed as though the both of them had fun last night. i'll be in the living room he told her as he turned around and left the room so she could get dressed without him there. grabbing two mugs he poured the coffee into them and took them into the living room and set them down on the table. walking back into the kitchen he grabbed the sugar and set it down next to the coffee. he filled his coffee up with sugar because he just liked things sweet and sat on the couch and flipped on the television. luke doubted brooke would want to stay for long and he didn't really mind. he wasn't the type of guy who wanted to stay and cuddle when everything was over. but hopefully she would at least drink the coffee before she left. the sun was out and bright and that didn't help a hangover very much. drinking his coffee and sitting in only boxers he continued flipping through the channels for something interesting to watch.

At Luke’s wink, Brooke merely rolled her eyes and downed the shot in front of her. The liquid oozed down her throat and she knew that she was reaching the point where her rational thoughts would go out the door, but she suddenly didn’t care. She hadn’t drank so much since before she’d been sent away for the summer and thanks to all the stress of school that past week, she had decided to give up on trying to stay stable and let Luke continue to buy her drinks. Luke’s standards comment caused another quick eye roll, but she laughed at the comment as well. “Oh, my bad. Didn’t mean to question your standards,” she teased, giving him a playful wink. If Brooke had her rational thoughts in tack then she would have caught onto what was slowly happening, but thanks to the drinks he had given her and the shots she had taken, those thoughts had gone out the window. She was going to kill her friends next time she saw them, but for now she was just going to let lose and enjoy the rest of her night. “Alright, you win.” * * * * * * * ** * * * * The first thing that Brooke felt when she rolled over onto her other side was that there was someone beside her in bed, but the identity of that person was currently unknown. She couldn’t remember much of the previous night, but could feel enough of a difference in the bed she was laying in to realize that she wasn’t in her own. That meant that she had gone home with someone, but she was still half asleep and didn’t feel like opening her eyes to see who it was beside her. Part of her was afraid to actually open her eyes because of who could be on the other side, and part of her just wanted to go back to sleep. Both parts combined basically decided that she would keep her eyes closed for the time being. As she moved around trying to get comfortable, she realized that she was laying under strange covers and was not wearing any clothing, which told her what exactly had happened the night before. At this realized, she sighed heavily and hoped to God that it wasn’t some random guy that she didn’t know. If it was, then she was going to kick herself for getting herself into that position. She felt her companion – whoever he was – move out of the bed and she listened to his footsteps leaving the room before she let herself open her eyes and take in her surroundings. The room she was in wasn’t overly large like her own, but it was a decent size and she slowly sat herself up, making sure to use the blankets to cover herself. It was quiet in the house she was in, which made her glad that she wouldn’t awkwardly run into any parents on her way out and made the situation a little more tolerable. Once she got her bearings, she heard a voice by the door and say Luke Moreau leaning against the doorframe. Damn it. So much for never getting involved with his game, she thought to herself miserably. But, thankfully she hadn’t done it willingly and had been pretty drunk when it happened, so that was her justification for what had happened. She didn’t say anything when he asked her about sugar and coffee because she was still trying to wrap her head around what had happened, and sighed in relief when he said he’d be in the living room and walked away. Once he had, she looked around the room to try and locate her clothing, most of which were luckily scattered in close proximity. After pulling on what she could find, she padded into the hallway and retrieved her fallen shirt, then followed the hall to the living room where Luke was sitting on the couch, a cup of coffee in his hand. “Uh, good morning,” she said a little awkwardly. “I think it’d be best for me to head home, but thanks for making coffee,” she said, retrieving her clutch from the floor and heading towards the door. But, before she opened it, she stopped and turned back to him. “Look, Luke. Whatever happened last night is never going to happen again and I’d appreciate it if you kept it to yourself.” She hoped he would be decent enough to heed that request. “Anyway, have a good day and I’ll see you at school,” she said calmly, trying to keep her cool as she gave him a little wave and headed out the door.
