today was the same as most days. he had school to go too and he woke up to his step mother banging on the door telling him he was late. but considering he was always late to his first class he didn't really care all too much. he got up and got dressed at his normal speed not bothering to rush with anything as usual. once he was done he grabbed his wallet, keys, and cell phone and was ready to leave. walking to school luke was mostly focused on his phone texting the whole time. walking through the familiar doors he walked down the empty hall way and found the door to his class. opening it all the attentions as put on him for a moment as he made his way to his seat in the back of the room. at least twenty something pair of eyes followed him as he took a seat and situated himself. when he was done most of those eyes were focused on the teacher once more. the day continued and he was off to the rest of his classes. today luke definitely didn't feel like being in school. he needed to find something else to do fast before he found himself dying of boredom. he wasn't sure what he was going to do but he knew he was going to have to do something interesting. getting his phone out he asked violet to meet him in the auditorium when fourth period was starting. he knew if he wanted to do something fun the person he'd have to contact would be violet. she was always up for something interesting and she never disappointed. humming to himself he stared at the clock waiting for it to hurry up and indicate that he was done with this dreadful class. the teacher noticed him staring at the clock and gave him an annoyed look. luke just smiled and pretended to get into his work and started to scribble on the side of his notebook.
finally the bell rang and he was able to leave. luke gathered his things and stuffed them in his backpack and was out the door before anyone else was even up. walking towards his locker he put his backpack in there seeing as though he wasn't going to need it for now. leaving his locker he walked towards the auditorium which was always locked. students weren't allowed in there unless they had a teacher present. of course luke didn't really care what the rules were. walking down the hall with his hands in his pockets he walked by students and teachers smiling not bothering to stop and make conversation with anyone. he wanted to be in the auditorium before violet was and that meant no small talk for him today. finally he reached his destination and he went straight for the one door at the side that was never locked. most people knew that it was kept opened but still nobody bothered to lock it. not that he minded, it made things so much easier for him. then he didn't have to go find a key to swipe and use. but if that was necessary he'd probably do it. anything for a little thrill. walking into his room his footsteps echoed as he walked towards the stage. they had a play performed just a few weeks ago and some of the props and scenery were still around. ignoring the stairs luke jumped onto the stage and walked around looking at all the things they had left behind. luke had seen the play but he was a little too busy with his current female company to really pay attention to it. but by the applause he heard at the end he assumed it was good. he continued looking around until he heard the door opened and he paused. luke looked to see who it was hoping that a teacher hadn't followed him in there. his fun would have been killed if he had gotten caught. though he was sure he'd find a way out of it. and if he couldn't he was sure his dad would find a way. luke paused waiting for the person to come a little closer so he could see who was joining him, hopefully it was violet.

i really wanna get it on with you, - - - - - - - AND FROM THE VERY SECOND THAT I SAW YOU KNEW YOU WERE GONNA BE MY NEW BOOTY CALL AND THAT'S ALL I'VE BEEN THING BOUT IT ALL DAY LONG. It was a little strange, actually waking up on time, in fact she woke up early today. Why did she do such a crazy thing on a weekday when it was obvious she hated school? She was picking someone up this morning. A certain female who had an older brother in college. A brother that is very much so attracted to Violet. She was all about the people who were into her. She didn't know how to explain it but she was, and this morning, her picking up his sister had everything to do with him, and pretty much nothing to do with the freshman. She was pretty much just her community service project. She was already dressed when her aunt came upstairs to wake her up. They talked a little bit about hwo she was doing in school, blah blah blah. All things she hated to talk about with people, she wanted to talk about. Finally, using the little Warner girl as an excuse, she ran from the house and hopped into her pick-up truck. It was an old, ratty looking thing, and was pretty sad that she was driving it, but it was the best she could do after they moved here. Before, she never drove anywhere because anywhere she wanted to go was in walking distance, and she liked to keep her body toned. But now, the apartment they live in has a small exercise room in it that she takes advantage of. Oh how New York was beginning to be her new favorite place. Just the lights and hussle all the time made her love it. She loved things that had a lot of action, which is why, even though she was a fan of romance movies, the action ones were the ones that really got her going. She would watch one of them in a heart beat, over a chick flick or something like that.
The day was starting like all other days so far at this new school. She dropped off the Warner girl, telling he that she would stop by her house later that night to help her with English, and to tell her older brother hi for her only in the event that he would be leaving before Violet could get there. The girl laughed, then ran off to a group of freshman girls, all of which were checking out the older boys, who had their eyes on girls their own age, and their hands for that matter. First period was going to be the longest period of the day today simply because she hated it. Math class never really was her favorite place to be on a good day, but today she was just simply not in the mood. Most of the people in the class were even more unskilled at it than she was, so they wasted half of the class trying to go over one problem. She couldn't take it anymoe, but the office refused to let her switch out of it and move to a math that better suited her, which would be Holly's math. They told her it would ruin her schedule and make her give up some classes that she had been dying to take when she heard about them. She couldn't risk that since she already had her spot in them, so she suffered through. However, things became a little more interesting when half way through the period she receieved a text from someone. For a moment she had hoped it was someone from back home, however the person that really was, was just fine in her book. Oh, Luke. He was a cutie. She couldn't get over how well they worked together, sadly it was at tearing someone down, but still it was pretty epic of them. Caleb too, but she didn't see any sort of mention of Caleb. She didn't care much about that, even though she was strangely into Caleb in more than just a sexual way. A relationship, though she's not really sure if that's what she wanted, or if it was something they would ever have. In any case she replied that she would be there.
By the time fourth period came, she was a bit anxious. What on earth could be going on that he needed her? Not that she cared, she would do anything to get out of gym class for the day. That was one class she never minded skipping, even if she did feel she should work out more. She had her apartment's work out room for that now so gym class wasn't needed anymore either. She did have a bookback and purse with her, but she didn't find any of them to really have much use while skipping class. She stuffed the black bag into her bookbag, making sure it reached the bottome of the bag before she piled books in there. She was a pro at hiding things so this was not going to be any different. She was treating it like stolen merchandise or anything that wasn't permitted at school. Then, to be sure that it was safe, her bookbag was then shoved behind her other books in the locker she was standing in front of right now. Then she closed and locked it, never trusting the locks on them, so she used her own lock as well. Then she started off toward the door Luke had told her about. Appearently it was always left open.
When she got in there, she realized the door squeaked louder than she had wanted it to. She wasn't really interested in disappointing her aunt anymore than she had already, so getting caught in the one room she was told wasn't to be entered unless escourted by a staff member, that wasn't something she wanted to do. She looked around, the lights dim, mainly from the windows that were all across an entire wall. She walked toward the stage, thinking she had heard some footsteps there, but unsure. "Um, Luke?" She said in a loud whisper. Her dark brown eyes shifted around. Finally her eyes fell on a figure that she knew to be Luke. She smiled a little, and crossed her arms over her chest carefully, but not before pushing some of her dark, curly today, hair behind her shoulder. "What ya up to, Handsome?" She asked in a sweet but flirtatious tone. She had petnames for almost everyone, even if they didn't want one. Jake got honey, simply because it pissed him off when she called him it, Luke was handsome, well come on look at him. It was either that or sexy. And Caleb, well she called him darling a lot. Holly even had one, well two actually it was either sweets, or sweetie, but usually sweetie. She hated using names. Back home, she usually called people by their last name, such as Keller. She knew his first name, and when she called him by that, he knew she was pissed, but it was usually baby or Keller. Names just got in the way, sometimes she never used a petname either. Sometimes she would just turn to the person and start talking, maybe specifying who she was talking to by pointing, snapping, or clapping at them a little and saying "you". the more luke thought about it the more he knew that getting caught in the auditorium would be a hassle. he had a game this weekend and he'd probably be benched if a teacher found him in here. everyone thought luke didn't take his position on the soccer team very seriously but it was mostly that he didn't take the coaches very seriously. he had given up being the captain because he didn't want to handle the responsibility of the team. he didn't want to be the one that was suppose to set an example for everyone. luke would have to be at practice earlier than everyone and try harder than everyone else did. he just couldn't see himself in a leadership type position anytime soon. and beside it was only high school soccer and as long as he kept scoring goals in games for scouts to see luke didn't see the point of trying too hard.
he couldn't help but smile when he heard violet whisper his name as she walked around in the dark auditorium. luke was relieved to see that she was there and waved for a moment so she would notice him standing up on the stage. just waiting for you beautiful he said with a small wink. luke couldn't help but flirt around with violet even though they were good friends. it was hard for luke to not flirt with any girl but violet was the type that always had an interesting response for him. she wasn't like most of the girls around. she was more into doing crazy things and having fun then sitting around and talking about feelings. whenever she was around he could always expect something fun to happen, risky and dangerous most of the time but at least it was fun. she wasn't afraid or scared to try new things. luke was definitely glad that she happened to move to manhattan of all places.
walking behind the curtain he disappeared from violets sight for a moment. running his hand along the walls he finally found what he had been looking for. pulling a large switch the light on the stage turned on. luke decided to leave the other lights off considering they wouldn't be anyone in the seats in front of them. walking away from behind the curtain he spotted violet making her way over to the stage. come join me on stage he said walking towards the front where the light was brighter. he hadn't really planned out what they were going to do in the auditorium but as he looked around he noticed all the fun things that they would have to play with. thank goodness for a lazy drama department he thought to himself. they were probably so relieved to have finished with the show after so many weeks of rehearsing that they didn't care about leaving the props everywhere. as he waited for violet to come on stage he noticed the costumes that were also left on stage. with a smile he picked up one of the maids outfits and looked over to violet. care to try this on? he asked her with a hopeful look on his face. i think it would look amazing on you he added just in case she wasn't up for it. examining the dress a little closer he brought it up and tried imaging it on violet. looking from her to the dress he nodded his head in approval. these costumes could definitely work for him.

i really wanna get it on with you, - - - - - - - AND FROM THE VERY SECOND THAT I SAW YOU KNEW YOU WERE GONNA BE MY NEW BOOTY CALL AND THAT'S ALL I'VE BEEN THING BOUT IT ALL DAY LONG. She was never really one to connect with people well. Sure, she always had the girls from back home, but other than the loyalty to them so she didn't end up dead, she didn't like any of them. The only two people she even cared about, and let know the real her, were long since dead, okay well one has been dead for a while, the other only recently died, but still. She's been away from them so long, she's forgotten what held her so close to them. Her father was a tough, calous man most of the time, but he melted when he saw her. She was everything he had wanted in a child. She showed her brother up all the time, at sports, with looks, everything. It wasn't that he hated his son, he just favored his daughter, but that was normal right? The phrase "daddy's little girl" had to come from somewhere. Then there was Keller. He had been the one that almost killed he for her brother. He had been the one to scare her into shooting a man at only twelve years old, but she loved him more than anything. he might not have always treated her the best, but she knew that he had loved her too. Those two connections ended and she's had a hard time getting really close to people. Ever heard the expression, "keeping people at arm's length"? Well, that's what Violet does. She doesn't know why, but she does. Maybe she's just scared to lose someone else that she cares about, or maybe all her loss and time spent in her old school turned her cold. But, she was starting to see, these people around here, were okay to let your guard down for. At least some of them. She knew they would hurt her, because people make mistakes. She also knew she would probably hurt them too, but that was okay because she was only human. And she had a feeling that the people she was chosing to allow to see the real Violet, wouldn't hold what she does against her, and she knew that she wouldn't hold anything against them either. Like Luke for instants. That's how she was going to see after all. She was starting to become close with him. Some might even try to argue they were going to end up best friends. She knew that they would probably do things that would upset the other sometimes, but Luke doesn't seem like the kind of person to carry a grudge around. And with a face like his, all he would have to do would throw out sad eyes and a small pout and she would forgive him instantly.
A smile came to her face as she thought about that. Best friends...that was a little weird. She had always known guys as people you have sex with, and maybe one is worth getting close enough to to be in a relationship with, but certainly never friends. But she didn't see anything between her and Luke being real emotion. It was just flirtatious moments, and lustful looks. She wasn't going to lie, he was good looking, and hard to resist. However, he didn't see the kind of person that she would get into the "couple stage" with. She didn't mean it rude either. She respected him too much already to try that. She isn't good with relationship, and she knows that it would fizzle out, like all her other ones, and they would part ways, never really talking again. And if they ever do talk again, it would be about the weather, or about a movie that neither really cared about but that's the only thing they can think of talking about. She hated awkward conversations like that. That's why she hoped to never have one with this boy. She liked him way too much to even let that happen. So it was already decided in her head, no craziness with him. She wouldn't date him, try to, or want to. She was actually sure of the last one...because she just didn't want to. Though she wouldn't mind fooling around with him in bed, if he was up for that.
She entered the auditorium with a small smile, she spotted a person on the stage. Luke always seemed to surprise her. She stood there with her arms crossed across her chest. His voice sounded and she couldn't help but shake her head. He was probably her favorite person around here, Holly aside. Sure, she was very fond of Caleb, but he seemed more like a temporary hook-up kind of person for her. Sure, she was trying to get together with him, be his girlfriend, but really, she was a terrible girlfriend. She couldn't be one in the real definition of the word if she wanted to, because she never saw a steady, stable relationship while growing up, and now that she lives with her aunt and her forever and a day boyfriend, she's starting to see how those things work, but she's too far gone. But Luke, he was friend potential, and she knows that because she wouldn't be standing there right now if he wasn't. She nodded a little at what he said, a smirk on her lips. "Very good answer." She laughed a little. Just as she spoke up though, he disappeared behind the curtain. She wasn't sure if she should follow him or not. Just as she was about to head up and see what he was doing, he reappeared and asked her to come up onto stage. She slipped her phone away into a pocket and started up the small staircase the led to the stage.
She glanced around absent mindedly as she walked up, noticing that the school didn't really have a drama department that cared much. There were props, costumes, and various other items used for a play strewn across the stage. She shook her head a little, and walked up to about a foot from Luke. She stilled looked around, almost not paying the boy attention for a moment. She was extremely curious about the things that lay across the stage. However, when she saw some black and white fabric dangled near her, she looked back at the boy, an eyebrow raised, a question lingering on her pale, glossed lips. Where did that come from? She laughed a little, his hopefull look sealing the deal for him. A maid's costume? Really? Well, fine then. Without saying anything she grabbed the top of the hanger and strutted off stage, toward the back, where there were rooms. She knew this from her school tour. Man, those things did eventually come in handy. She slipped out of her clothing, folding them and making a small pile with them, hiding them in one of the rooms. Then she slipped into the costume. It was a bit snug on her, which she found odd. It must have been for someone a bit smaller than her, which was most likely any one of the five that were. She was pretty small. She walked back out, noticing a feather duster laying haphazardly with a few other props. A small maids hat thing was with it, tied around the handel, so that came with it. She laughed slightly as she adjusted it on her head, hiding the tie under her hair. "So, what do you think?" She asked with a small smile, walking up to him and placing her hand on his shoulder gently. "How do I look?" She finished with as she stepped back for a moment, and spun slowly for him. he was glad to see her laugh at his answer. i try he told her with a shrug. luke was the type of guy who normally knew the right thing to say to a girl. it was pretty easy knowing what a girl wanted to hear from him and that's what he gave her. and so far it definitely seemed to be working with him, he seemed to be quite the charmer. though even though most girls knew that he wasn't the type of guy to want anything more than sex they didn't seem to mind. everyone thought he was such a bad guys but it took two people to tango. and if the girl knew what she was getting herself into then she obviously didn't mind. luke just wasn't the type of guy who could settle down with just one person. sure he eventually wanted an actual relationship but it didn't seem as though it was going to happen anytime soon. all his past relationships obviously didn't last very long and at least what he was doing now kept him entertained. there were so many girls out there and how else was he going to meet as many as he could? when the right one came along hopefully he wouldn't mess it up. but for now he was going to continue what he was doing now which was just having fun. and fun was something he definitely was having lots of at the moment. checking the time he knew that everyone would be busy with classes for another hour or so. they had tons of time to waste in the auditorium before people got even a little suspicious where they had run off too. luke already had a few texts asking why he wasn't in class but he didn't bother replying to any.
the expression violet had on her face when she first noticed the outfit was definitely cute. she seemed confused for a moment wondering why he was holding it but once she figured it out she laughed. luke watched her carefully wondering if she would be up to actually wearing it. he was sure that the drama department wouldn't mind if they borrowed their costumes for a bit. and this was definitely a good use for them, what guy didn't want to see his hot friend in a maid outfit? she didn't give him an answer but instead took the outfit and left the stage to the back. this definitely was one of the reasons he and violet were such good friends. she didn't seem to be afraid to do anything. there weren't that many girls he knew that would put on a maid outfit just because he asked them too. if more girls were like violets life would definitely be more interesting for him. and there would be more girls in maid outfits would be better for society in general. and now all luke had to do was wait for her to make her way into the changing rooms in the back and change into the costume. while he waited luke looked around the stage some more for something else they would be able to have some fun with. the place was full of the strangest things. he looked through all of the other costumes that they had but none of them seemed even mildly entertaining as the maid one he had given violet. hopefully they would find more things that the drama department left. his eyes wondered around the stage and noticed a rather large box near the center of the stage. but before he could go over and check it out he heard footsteps and turned to see what was happening.
it didn't take long for violet to change and make her way back onto the stage. but she wasn't only wearing the outfit she had the hat and the duster to go along with it. luke couldn't help but laugh for a moment spurred to actually see her wearing the outfit. she walked up to him and spun around so that he would be able to see her in it. it was a little smaller than she was but that only made the outfit better in his eyes. you look absolutely stunning he told her honestly. if maids always wore these type of outfits luke knew he'd have to get himself one of them. his parents hire done but she didn't look half as good as violet did at the moment. maybe it was time for a replacement? i think this should be a serious career choice he told her with an assuring nod. she looked way too good in it to not consider begin a maid. and if she ever needed a job luke would always have one for her. though she would probably be busy doing everything other than cleaning. now to find more things to play with he told her holding her hand and leading her to a huge box of things near edge of the stage that he wanted to check out.

Surely she loved to get the attention of boys, and would do whatever she was asked to get it, but she never really, oh how to put this, felt like herself around a guy. Most of the time, she felt she had to keep some kind of act up for them to want to be around her. Some might argue that she still has an act up around Luke, but that is truly her. Violet hasn't acted once around him, she just natually has his attention. Maybe its her looks, maybe it is that she's noticably calmer around him, or maybe it's something she can't even think of right now. She doesn't know really, but she's just glad that she found someone she doesn't have to put a facade up for, just so he'll like her.
